La Miscelánea is a treasure-trove of locally made Mexican goods and a must visit while in Oaxaca! It has many practical foods and household goods and also lots of fun extras. Rebecca does a great job of sourcing and choosing items for her shop. The plants are an added bonus and while I haven’t yet tried the coffee or tea, I can’t wait to get back to try them! Try the sausage - they’re all delicious! The lemon dish soap and real vanilla extract are other favorites. Oh and the Brew Lab kombucha! Just try it all 😂 And they also make deliveries, which was such a blessing during our first weeks settling into Oaxaca.

My favorite place to shop in Oaxaca, this tienda sells only Oaxaca-sources food and beauty products. They also have the best coffee in town. The store is now attached to a restaurant and plant shop. Rebecca makes great most beautiful succulent arrangements in gorgeous locally made pots. I had breakfast there again this morning (eggs Benedict) and introduced a new friend to three businesses. She loved the whole experience. I buy coffee, pesto, butter, eggs, peanut butter, mermelada, , mango chutney, postres, soap, shampoo, cookies, moringa powder, tea, etc. here. If you like quality products, you'll love this place. Victor and Rebecca are bilingual and pretty much the nicest people in a city of kind folks. Their employees Pablo and Itzel are awesome.
