The best market in Mexico City if you go there on Sunday’s. You will find a huge antique section offering the most beautiful pieces of furniture, collector’s items etc. It is definitely worth a visit! (Just plan to spend some hours there)

Antiques mostly, although you'll find many interesting tshirts, handmade with unique designs you won't find anywhere else. There's a market focused solely on shoes as well. Make sure to try the many food stalls inside, or indulge in a cup of real chocolate as you browse the stalls. Anybody into geology should take a trip to the center of the market, where you'll find stalls full of interesting rocks, both raw and polished. It's safe to walk around as there are policemen in every corner, but just to be safe, do make sure your wallet or purse is in a good spot, out of easy reach.

The Sunday antique market is around here and this is a unique cultural experience. It has become more popular in the last few years but maintains it's unqiue character.

All the travel blogs tell you to go here but don't. There's nothing to buy. A lot of it is DVDs and unfashionable clothes. Sort of like your local swap meet but not second hand.

Crowed market, best if you go before 12 noon. The tapas are awesome there
