Hotel Maya Yucatan by Cartas a Frida

Inexpensive hotel, 500 pesos but 2 double beds, working AC and TV, swimming pool outside. Small coffee maker provided at the front desk. Very accommodating, moved our room because AC wasn't working properly. Great staff

You will never imagine that the hotel will be super beautiful in the inside. It is in the center of Merida near by everything. The staff is very good and take care of us and our luggage. You can leave your stuff before check in.

It's cheap for a reason. Very dated rooms and ugly bathrooms. The price is appropriate for the condition of the property. But it shouldn't show up as a 4-star hotel here. It may have been one a couple of decades ago, but now I would hardly rate it a 2-star.

For what they charge, it's all good. The room is spacious and clean. The location is excellent and the staff is very friendly and willing to help you. What I didn't like it's that from my room, I could listen everything that was happening outside. The bed wasn't the comfiest. And it had neither good wifi nor tv channels.

Great price. Amazing location for exploring downtown Merida. Only a few little details on maintenance, but everything else was great.
