Great rooms, fabulous staff...stayed w this chain in Oaxaca too!! Excellent downtown location and excellent tips for dinner etc during covid...stay, u won't regret it!! How many hotels have a retractable roof??

A very nice place that will make you feel like in the ancient times but with today's comfort. I stayed during COVID times, nonetheless I had a great time. The rooms are clean and the personnel is helpful. I'd definitely come back again. I didn't rate five stars because 1) COVID signs onto the restroom's mirror block your own reflection, you have to move yourself and find an angle to see yourself. That's odd. 2) At the restaurant, the first option for the menu is a QR code, they assume everyone has a smart phone and everyone feels comfortable reading from a small screen. Big mistake.

I had my wedding at this place. I give 3 stars because as guest, the service in general is slow, the waiting time can be improve. As user of the patio, by contract I needed to reserve the rooms around the patio. I did but the day of the event, those bedrooms were given to regular guest, instead of my guest... The result: next day I got a person knocking my bedroom's door trying to make awake and blaming it was my fault he was not able to sleep. I see other similar comments form regular guest having the same issue, staying at the patio area and not been able to sleep. This is a lack of administration and coordination.

I would NOT recommend this place for a wedding. I wasted my time trying to get a quote from this hotel. The Wedding Manager, Hazel was very unprofessional and she wasn’t willing to help me at all after I told her that I lived in the US and needed to plan my wedding from here. At the beginning I had to call the hotel several times to get a hold of Hazel, because she was never there, and when I was finally able to talk to her, it took forever to get a quote and it didn’t even had what I requested. I called Hazel again, explained her that she and I needed to work together because I didn’t have anyone in Mexico to help me plan my wedding and her response was that I needed a wedding planner, but she promised to send a more customized quote and this never happened, after I told her that I would travel to Mexico to meet with her. In addition, we had scheduled a conference call and she completely forgot. It was a waste of time and one month passed without getting anything done. This is really disappointing, because the customer should feel welcomed and feel like you have a professional that will help you plan your wedding and that was Hazel’s job.

Small but cozy rooms. The restaurant service can improve in terms of speed. The food is really tasty.
