Hotel Victoria Oaxaca

Beautiful views and pool. Rooms are comfy, clean and quiet. Food at restaurant is terrible. I had dinner and breakfast here and both meals were really disappointing, including the scrambled eggs, which I didn’t know you could mess up. I also had a very negative experience with the front desk manager the morning of feb 21. His name was José Miguel I think. He came to the pool and castigated me for having brought room towels down. I didn’t know you had to ask the front desk for pool towels. Rather than helping me, he made me bring my towels to the front desk by myself to switch them. He also accused me of sneaking in outsiders when the two people I was with were also hotel guests. Together we spent over $250 at the hotel but he treated us like we shouldn’t have been there. I’d suggest that management work with him on treating guests with more respect and kindness, or give him a non customer facing job. Everyone else working at the hotel was very friendly.

It was a pleasant stay. The located on a hill with abundant trees feels very nice, and the view of the city is awesome from there. The rooms are very comfortable, although they feel outdated, specially the bathrooms. Even though the restaurant has a nice terrace, I'd consider eating elsewhere, since it was not very good, and the menu options are quite limited

I had a very pleasant stay of five nights at Hotel Victoria. The hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer and everyone at the front desk spoke near-fluent English. While located just outside of the city center, the hotel offers shuttles there and a cab costs only $2.50. The quality of the food and cleanliness of the rooms were also favorable. The hotel grounds are very peaceful, with a large swimming pool and a lot of greenery. There are also some beautiful views, including from many of the rooms. Overall, a great value and a good balance between a peaceful resort vibe and proximity to the city center. Probably the best option in the area if you’re staying for at least a few nights.

Was impressed with the entire hotel considering how inexpensive it was to stay for a week. Absolutely loved the tropical surroundings, excellent pool, many walking paths and the view from the restaurant/bar. Spent most our nights having a light dinner and drinks in the bar area admiring the view and enjoying the great weather. Hotel is about a mile or two from the main city center and has some intense hills when walking back to hotel. We enjoy exercise and prefer being active so while we enjoyed the distance from Centro, others may require transportation. The room was basic with mainly just necessities but it was clean and comfortable which is all that matters to us. Staff was always helpful and breakfast buffet was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone visiting this region of Oaxaca. You will not be disappointed staying here.

We loved our stay here. The staff were extremely helpful. Our room had a great view and was really nice. Breakfast wasn't included, but the restaurant downstairs had an absolutely AMAZING breakfast buffet. Highly recommend. Loved our stay here.
