Unbelievable and unacceptable terms of service. I came to Moscow and handed in my passport to VFS Global for a visa stamp. They said it would take 3-7 business days. It has now been 3+ weeks. The tracker is utterly useless, never gets updated. Their support team is basically useless; every time you call them or write to them via webchat, they keep asking you to write an email, which they claim will be responded to within 2 business days. In reality: 3-4 days. You ask them to check the location of your application package, they ask you to contact the consulate yourself. It's funny how it takes 3-4 emails and one very long letter of complaint to finally find out that your passport has been lying around their office for at least a week now without anyone knowing. You pay for the courier service because you can't afford to stay in Moscow (I'm from a different city) for over 2 weeks. You send them evidence of payment for the service long before they even "receive your passport from the consulate". But it somehow takes them several days to hand your passport over to the courier, even though they have been informed that they really messed up and are causing you problems. If everything was done on time, I would have already been with my husband. Or I would have been able to get plane tickets while they were still cheap. Now, if I want to finally move to my husband before Christmas and not wait for a month for prices to drop again, I have to pay $1750+ instead of $650. At this point, I am giving 1 star because at least they got my biometrics done efficiently that one time, and they actually got me my visa. I'm just hoping I'll get my passport back now... Thanks VFS.
