We were referred to Dr. Valentine by a veterinarian when we discovered a sarcoma mass on our Labrador Retriever 2 years ago. Since then, Dr. Valentine has been providing excellent care through a customized herbal treatment for our Jojo with great success. Through this journey, Jojo has maintained her energy and happy-go-lucky attitude and I truly believe she would not be here today without this treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Valentine's services!

Came to Hope a couple of times in 2018, but I've held off on writing anything until now. However, I feel I should give others a heads up.nnI really liked Hope in the beginning--I thought she was nice, cool and knowledgeable and I was referred to her by a friend. Came to her because my dog has been losing hair for a while and per the vet, had high liver enzymes.nnVisited her office on NE Killingsworth, where she performed acupuncture on my dog and filled out a sheet, where she explained what was going on with him and what needed to be done to help him. She fumbled over things a bit and it didn't seem 100% well thought out (a lot of scribbling). She gave me the sheet to take home, but wasn't really legible nor a true post care document that my usual vet would provide. Paid $300 ish dollars plus the cost of herbs. I should also point out that she disappeared for about 20 minutes during the appointment. I thought it was to make tea, but tea doesn't take that long to make. Odd.nnWhen we needed to come in for a follow up exam, I learned her office had HVAC/mold issues and wasn't usable, so I met her at her boat house. Once again, she disappeared for 20 minutes during the appt. Again, very odd. I also had to remind her about a lot of things from our previous appointment--it didn't feel as though she had taken notes or kept any information on file.nnAfter that, I was running low on herbs and she gave me a difficult time when I was texting her back and forth to coordinate a day and time to get more, since her office was inoperable. She berated me for all the back and forth and for not ordering more on the website, which I didn't even know was an option. Then when I tried to order some on the website, it didn't work properly, so I just gave up.nnFurther, the diet she prescribed for my dog (herbs, a few blueberries, sweet potatoes and Stella & Chewy patties) caused him to lose a significant amount of weight and did not help his hair loss, which turned out to be due to hypothyroidism. He's now on proper medication through his vet.nnOverall, I spent ~$800 between exams and herbs, but will not go back. She seems unfocused, scattered and lacks customer service skills. I do not recommend this practice.
