I've been going here for the past 11 years with my dogs. The office staff and doctors are amazing and caring. What I love even more that it's a family run business. Our retriever mix was about 14 yrs old and we knew it was going to be time to say our goodbyes but not when we took him because we notice there was some issues with his health. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye unexpectedly. The doctors and staff were so compassionate and comforting during our time as we stayed with him. They were rushing us to get out of the room. They gave us time. Then a month later the doctor sent a hand written note check on us. I have never had a vet hospital ever do that. And there prices for shots are reasonable to. They care what they do. Love this place.
Dr. Brooke and her techs are wonderful. We just adopted a 2 yr old shelter dog. We were told he DOES NOT LIKE VETS and we would have to sedate him to get him to the vet. 1st trip he was scheduled for a tough procedure. (He had already failed to get the procedure done once before because they would have needed to sedate him.) He was taken from the car and he walked in like a gentleman, tail between his legs, but without a fuss. He's super strong and I was concerned how he would do. We received the call from Dr. Brooke 45 min later. He did not need any sedation or anesthesia. He did very well. VICTORY!
We have been with McAfee for at least 8 years and we have never had a bad experience. I can’t think of anything they could improve on. They are always friendly, efficient & Dr. Brooke is the best. She will always answer your questions & call anytime when you leave a message or send an email. We could go to vets in Crown Point where we live but choose to drive 45 minutes to McAfee because we know our little dachshund will always get the best care. And be given honest and caring treatment by the staff.
Great staff that truly cares about animals. Everyone is friendly and the facility is kept clean. I no longer take my animals here as I moved out of the area but my experience with them was fantastic. My dog even needed surgery and they did it with no complications and gave great after care following up to make sure he was doing well. Your animals are in good hands here.
When Dr. Brooke helped my Kiwi with her teeth she had Gum Disease. She was very helpful in my situation. Relates well to me, and what I needd. I feel her love for Animal's just by her voice. Compassion and great care she gives. As a Fur-baby Fan I Highly recommend her good heart, and care. :)
