I moved to Hobart four years ago but I still drive back to Winfield to Four Season's Animal Hospital for my dog's care. I've tried many different vets in the Hobart/Portage area but they just do not measure up. You can tell the people at FSAH really care about the animals they take care of, they are so good at navigating the emotional chaos of caring for animals. Even now when I can't go inside with my girls because of the pandemic, I know they're in good hands and will be treated gently and expertly.

Took my cat in for ringworm, they charged us $100 for the meds (which I paid) and later found out it was $48 on chewy! I asked if they would send a script for my cats brother who also got ringworm and they said they would. I went to order a second bottle since it was cheaper on chewy vs spending an additional $100 and they denied the order. They said they’d do one thing, then backed out and now they won’t. It’s ringworm medication for goodness sakes, not a narcotic. And $50 up charge on meds? Way too pricey.

The staff is friendly and kind. Dr. Halaburt is outstanding. You can see how everyone is passionate about the animals they care for.

If I could give a 0 I would !!nTook my puppy here yesterday because we knew he was not right. They did blood sugar test and looked at color in gums and took temperature and said everything looks good. I expressed several times he was shaking and favoring his abdomen area. I told them he was acting like it was tender and only reply back I got was “no concern” because he would be vomiting, etc if anything. We went home. This morning I wanted a second opinion so went to Hobart animal clinic. Right away vet listens to me and does a physical palpitation exam on my puppy. Literally only massaging and compressing area in abdomen. Right away my puppy whimpers and vet says “yes, I agree there is a concern”. Long story short within in 1 hour of walking into Hobart they had my puppy in emergency surgery to remove an obstruction in stomach area. My puppy chewed a piece of stick 2cm in length and swallowed it when I let out for a potty walk and the piece of stick protruded my puppy stomach. Very very upset with fact that they did such a half butt job here. Didn’t listen to me. And didn’t even run their hands over an abdomen examination! I am so blessed that I love my puppy so much that I caught his change in behavior and didn’t need an IDIOT light. (Physical means of measure) to tell me what my puppy was showing me in his behavior. To think they said “well shaking and trembling is normal” and he had a damn stick poking through his stomach.

They are the most kind and caring people in this place. Dr. Halaburt-there is no better! She is patient and loving and so knowledgeable in how to handle your pet so she can do what is necessary and in how to handle you in the process as well by explaining everything in a way that you understand and that puts any of your fears at ease. Their fees are very reasonable as well. Wouldn’t go to any other vet.
