On October 15th 2020, I had to rush my dachshund in, she had to stay overnight, her heart rate was 240 and should be 120!nWe could not figure out what she got into that made her heart rate high, and she had a seizure from it. The doctors and nurses were absolutely wonderful. The care and compassion that they give to all the pets is outstanding. My little baby is doing wonderful now. Thank you to all at North Central. You are all hero's!n..........................nEveryone here was awesome. I had to bring my mom's two very old dogs in who had to be put to sleep. I believe the young lady who helped us out was named Erica, she was extremely caring and kind. The Doctor who came in was Doctor Minks, she was so caring and very patient. When you have to go through something like this it's so nice to have people who actually care and try to make everything go smoothly for you.
Overall, the experience, although stressful, was as good as it could be. Although the receptionist that took my call was very new, she was able to ask the questions necessary and took time to make sure her entries were correct - I appreciated that. The tech that handled Honeybear when we arrived was very nice, thorough, and took great care of her. The vet asked thorough questions during our call and explained everything very well. I appreciated the care and emotion she showed toward my pup in this stressful time and left comfortable with the level of knowledge and expectations provided to me.
Super happy with my experience. Had two bad experiences at my local emergency vet clinic and would much rather make the drive to north central. Very courteous and professional, and definitely helped ease our minds. How they made me feel comfortable with the entire process.
Had let them know i was deaf and wanted full report of my dog and what needs to be done and informed to me directly. They were very kind to make ways to communicate with me so i knew what was going on. They never made me feel uncomfortable about their decisions to try to help my baby feel better. They kept me well informed as i hoped if not exceeded it.
We are very fortunate to have this facility near by. We have had a few instances with our dog and cats on the weekend or after hours when our regular vet was closed. It has been wonderful to have the emergency center as an option so our babies could get assistance as soon as possible.
