Southway Animal Hospital

This Veterinarian is by far the Best I have ever came across. She cares so much about her patients and their owners. She is the lowest cost clinic you'll find as well. She believes in helping animals and giving us hard working people a break when it comes to paying for it all. What would have costed me a minimum of $3,000 for a leg amputation anywhere else she pulled a miracle just around 1,000. She saved my Cat after getting hit by a car at 55mph. Yes he survived because of her and all the medication I was provided with for the after care. We as a family are thankful for coming into contact with Southwest!! Highly recommend!!

I have heard alot of good things about this place, but when I went there I was extremely dissatisfied. Booking an appointment was awful I kept getting out on hold and sitting for 20-30 minutes finally I emailed them and was able to contact them that way.nI had lots of questions about my puppy (I am a first time dog owner) the doctor wasn't even concerned with any of them. Didn't really answer was only concerned about the shots and left. I felt like the woman at the front was really rude. Long story short I probably will not be back which is disappointing because everyone has had such good experiences

I have been using their services for the last 9 months and they continue to impress. Today they handled our 7 kittens like champs. That's pretty impressive with all of the kittens running around the room like maniacs. Very glad we found this place!

I recently moved back to Indiana after spending 4 years in Hawaii, (where I happened to work at a vet clinic) and I got a new puppy. I decided to take her to Southway this time since I saw that they offered a free exam for new puppies and wanted to take advantage of the offer. Booking the appointment was painless, they made a new account for me, asked all my info, etc. when I arrived to the appointment to check in, the receptionist who checked me in asked me the same exact questions about 5 times that I gave them over the phone for the appointment. I wasn’t sure if my appointment was even booked? As a veterinary receptionist, i find it extremely unprofessional that they did not even apologize for not having an appointment or all my information already recorded. Whatever, they still got me in in a timely manner.nnDoctor came in to see my pup, no concerns i was just there to get her next vaccines. I asked the doctor about the free exam offer on their website, told her I printed out the coupon. She was like “yeah we’re doing that for people who JUST get their puppies within a few days and just want to bring it in for the exam only”. Really? The website specifically states that it can’t be used for sick visits. I had only had her for a couple weeks. I was only there to get my pup’s vaccines. I also felt the appointment was extremely rushed, basic TPR was not really done, no temperature taken, no mucous membranes check or teeth check, etc. I didn’t really feel like the visit was worth $75, so I will happily take my dog back to Kem Rd where my other dog goes.nnI gave 2 stars because they got what I needed pretty quickly and it wasn’t a terrible experience but I’m a bit disappointed in the service.
