Cared for my dog was good. But did not care for being accused of letting my dog get into rat poison. I would never poison an animal. There is and was no poison in or around my house. They did not believe me. They kept asking me over and over and I kept telling them the same thing. There is no poison in or around my house. They finally took a blood test and then they admitted there was no poisoning but did not apologize. I will never go back there again or recommend them ever to anyone. They did take good care of him once they realized they was dealing with a illness.nnIf you need an emergency room for your pets take the to Purdue in West Lafayette Indiana.
Only one star because you can’t put zero. We brought our dog Louie in because he cut his foot on glass. This took place on a Saturday night so no regular vet offices were open. Note that our dog has separation anxiety. We sat out in the parking lot on hold for 30 minutes before we could bring him in and he was bleeding. Then, we got him checked in where he sat in the room alone for probably an hour by himself. Then, we decided to call and check to see how he was doing and they told us he was next in line to get checked on. About 30 minutes later we finally get a call from the vet who told us to wrap it up and give a cone and that they’ll get started on cleaning it and that it shouldn’t be much longer. 30 minutes after that, we get a call from the front desk to verify that we owe $300 to the vet for wrapping it and giving us a cone. Then she told us that they would get started on that as soon as they had a set of hands to deal with it. This phone call took place 3 HOURS after we arrived. Again, our dog sat in the room alone for most of this trip after specifically documenting that he has anxiety.nnThis is absolutely ridiculous for a vet hospital that says they provide the best care possible in Indiana.nUnless your pet has a severe life-threatening emergency, don’t even bother coming because they won’t do much for your pet and will charge you mass amounts of money for a BAND-AID. We came only because our dog’s foot would not stop bleeding. He was able to walk normally.
150 to get a sick or dying pet in the door. If its fatal, 140 to bring the cat in and an additional 70 for euthanasia without an exam.nThis place DOES NOT CARE FOR YOUR PETSnTHEY DO IT ALL FOR THE MONEY!!nBest advise, if your pet is showing symptoms prior to the weekend take them to your regular vet and avoid this place at any and all cost.
Our pit bull puppy Honei had contracted Parvo and we brought her to the hospital. She was treated inpatient for 3 days and survived, I can call the staff any time with concerns and questions the staff has been very helpful with her recovery!! ud83eudd70
There was a sweet dog that started hanging out around our neighborhood and suddenly yesterday was vomiting and excreting blood, weak. Talked to neighbors and she didn't belong to anybody. Couldn't get ahold of anybody near me up further north. So I called this hospital. Took her down and tested for parvo and was put in a special parvo room so it doesn't get to the rest of the hospital sick. She was positive. They gave me options, but she was so far into it that the only humane thing to do was to euthanize. The doctor and techs were amazing and compassionate. They scanned her for a microchip first, and allowed me to stay with her the whole time. Then when I got the bill, they did not charge for the exam or test, just the euthanasia. The entire time they were sweet and understanding with this strange situation, and I cannot praise them enough!
