Carmichael has always been a staple in the community and our experiences HAD been good with them. However, quite frankly I was in shock and angry at how my beautiful mother's face looked on the weekend of her homegoing. I was told by Dee that since I would be coming from out of the city, I could view the body on DUO or be sent a picture prior to the viewing. BTW, the family viewing was the day of the viewing for whatever reason... Although Dee didn't return my previous calls, she was initially pleasant.nHowever, I never did get to see my mom ahead of time. I spoke with W. Kelly who said I had a right to speak up and her feature less face would be addressed.nWhen I phoned later to speak with Dee, after some coaxing, she said okay, hung up and phoned my oldest sister and ignited a big fight.nI am still highly disappointed that the fluid was not drawn off my mom and her face and body was twice its size. Her head looked like a warping basketball loosing air!nI had no desire which I normally do, to take photos nor remember my mom that way...it still hurts. Thank God for previous photos!nI know people say she's not there and it doesn't matter, but when its your loved one, the experience is different and its your truth! Its your last opportunity to see them and if done well, it can relieve the stress of your loss.nI informed them I would write a review... I am a licensed insurance agent, a financial planner and chaplain who speaks the truth in love. I feel this should have been made right and if not, an explanation from someone..nHopefully this won't happen to anyone else in the passing of their loved one.nSincerely,nDiana Bush-HarrisnChaplain

My best friends grandmother passed recently and the service was being held by Carmichael. Bought a floral arrangement for the family to learn the next day from my friends that they didn’t receive the flowers and they were given away to people attending and NOT the family. I didn’t pay $88 for strangers to get flowers.

These are the most deceitful people to call there business a business. During the most Traumatizing time in our life these liers played my family...I wouldn't take a rat there. I wish I could say more but I advise people to think twice before going to this place.
