Musgrove Family Mortuary

The folks at Musgrove family mortuary have done a great job at helping me deal with the passing of my wife and making arrangements. They are a great group of people who helped ease the burden and the pain of losing my soulmate of 30 years so unexpectedly. I had no idea what to do or who to contact about her passing but they provided me with all the information I needed and sent out weekly care guides that helped me cover all the legal bases. While only time can ease the absolute pain of losing a loved one I felt that they genuinely cared and reached out regularly to help me deal with it all!

While the staff was professional and kind to us during this process, my family was shocked at the cost associated with doing a simple burial and graveside service here. Had we done our due-diligence ahead of time, we would have learn the $9,980 price we paid for a very simple service and inexpensive casket would have cost half that price at two different non Musgrove Family Mortuary associated mortuaries in the Eugene/Springfield area. My advice to all grieving families having to pick a mortuary for completing the after-life business of a loved one, is to price services ahead of time... even if only a day, as there are extremely different prices offered for the same services. We chose this mortuary because of location and the was a mistake. They all charge a local service charge for picking up a body and delivering it to a cemetery. Unfortunately, they do not all believe in offering economical prices. If I had to do it over again, I would have chosen either Andreason's or Major's mortuary services and saved nearly $5,000.
