I was a client of Crestview for 50 years, starting with Dr Maret in 1970. They had seen me through three dogs and 25 to 30 cats and I was always very happy with the care my pets received. The doctors always went above and beyond what was expected and I felt as if they always put the pets' care first. Over the years the staff had changed hands and my pets were, for the most part, currently seeing Dr Pagan.nnBut on July 27 of this year, I found that the pets don't come first to all the employees. I had a scheduled 10:30 appointment and got there about five minutes early. But I found my cell phone didn't work so I went to the door and knocked to tell them I was there. When the receptionist came to the door, she refused to open it and talk to me and finally turned her back on me and walked away. This woman knew who both my cat and I were but it didn't seem to matter and, in the end, my cat was refused admittance, so I left. My sister lives less than ten minutes from the hospital so I went to her house and called to tell them about my phone not working and to see if I could bring my cat back and have him admitted. That's when I was told that I would have to reschedule. That only added insult to injury. I still cannot fathom a person who works in the veterinarian business to knowingly and deliberately refuse medical help to an animal, especially one they're familiar with. In addition, I feel very strongly that an animal's fate should not be left in the hands of an untrained, inept receptionist.nnI talked with Dr Pagan several days later and still was not happy but I still had a sick cat on my hands. It was suggested earlier that I take the cat to an emergency clinic, which I did. They gave him a clean bill of health, which I knew wasn't true. Finally, on August 14, I decided to cut ties with Crestview and try to find a new vet. THIS WAS A VERY DIFFICULT DECISION TO MAKE, but I felt I had no choice.nnI still have a very high regard for Dr Pagan and the staff at Crestview and will always be grateful for all the wonderful care my pets received over the past 50 years. But my cat and I didn't deserve to be treated the way we were. For this reason, I could not give Crestview the ten stars I feel it deserves. This was not an easy review for me to write and it wasn't my original intention to do so, but this situation has weighed heavily on my mind for several weeks and it needed to be done.nnMy cat died untreated at home on September 1, but because of the reprehensible behaviour of this employee, we'll never know if Dr Pagan could have saved him or not. If he couldn't have saved him, he could have at least helped him die in peace as opposed to the way he did. It appeared to be painful for him and it was traumatizing for me. I assure you it was not pretty.
I love Crestview Animal Hospital. They treat your fur babies just like their own. The vets are very caring, and give great information. I tell all my friends with pets that this is a great place to go.
This is a FANTASTIC animal hospital. The vets and staff go above and beyond. If you are looking for a resource for great animal care (both preventative and emergent), this is the place to go!!!! I can not recommend them enough.
Curb side. They came out got my pet while I was talking with vet.nWorked so well. Different but much safer for all.nThanks to them for making these hard times doable.
