Even Though Is A Sad Moment To Go Into A Funeral Home and Say Until Next Time to A Loved One.nMartinez Funeral Home Has A Cozy Family and Friend Oriented Atmosphere. Martinez Staff Are Really Nice and Provide Great Customer Service. Keep It Up.

I would not recommend this Funeral Parlor to anyone. The quality of service at this place is so horrible. Vera, the woman who seems to run the parlors business affairs is not understanding nor sympathetic to the grieving families and is only concerned about the money aspect of the place. Honestly, she needs to take some lessons on empathy, sympathy and compassion if she wishes to work in this type of business. Especially, during these trying times, when so many people are losing their love ones due to this vicious virus. This woman is unable to overcome her own paranoia that she loses all sense of complete compassion towards families. If your looking for a funeral home, where they accommodate to you and your family needs this is NOT the place to go.

Such a disappointment. My boyfriends grandmother passed due to covid and he wanted to use this funeral parlor as his mom was buried with them 20 years ago. What a horrible experience.nNo one returned calls when calling the funeral parlor. Our loved one passed on a Saturday It wasn’t until Tuesday that they got back to us to start arrangements. Meanwhile I think I left about 5 messages. The answering service tells you if no one calls you back in 20 mins to call them back. No one calls you back! I don’t even think her body was picked up from the hospital until Wednesday. We had to make all the calls to the cemetery etc...nwe understand due to Covid there were certain protocols that had to be followed which we were okay with, but there was no personal touch at all. Truly felt like a simple business transaction.nManny who I believe is to be in charge was difficult to work with, his communication was awful.nHe called me the morning of the burial asking for the check for the cemetery for payment. Mind you two hours before the burial! I can’t understand why this wasn’t handled in a better manner.nVera was at least pleasant to deal with, and seemed somewhat sympathetic, but again everything was don’t over the phone, text or email.nWe asked to drop clothing off so our loved one could be draped in clothing for the burial and we were asked to leave all clothing in the delivery room. Again understood as we couldn’t have contact because Covid and we were in masks and gloves. But when we dropped the clothing a woman came out and I asked her if she could take the slippers and she told me to leave them on the floor. Mind you the delivery room was outside! I wasn’t leaving anything on the floor.nEverything was handled in such poor taste. It made losing a loved one during this awful time even worse.nFrom my understanding I believe it was a totally different funeral parlor when Manny Sr was running it.nIt almost seemed they were too busy to take on another death, and if that was the case they should’ve been honest and upfront and let us know that so we could’ve gone elsewhere. I would’ve paid double to have a different experience. Will never use them again.
