Ramtown Animal Hospital of Howell

I have to start by saying I absolutely LOVE Dr. Damien! She is informative, sincere, and genuine. My little 8 month old Cavapoo, Rusty, is my world. And she treats him like part of her own family with love and compassion. Anytime I call with a million questions she always calls back in a timely manor to answer everything I throw her way. I used to see Dr. Fenton For years before he passed so I was a little leery of any other Vet but she far surpassed my expectations. I am so incredibly grateful to have found her. I don't think the vet actually knows any medical knowledge. They just want to sell to you and they manhandled my dog. We brought our dog here and have been his whole life. I have always been suspect of the place but my parents like the cheap rates of course. They are only here to sell you things. They misdiagnosed my dog and i knew something was wryong. brought him to another vet to find out he has arthritis and a severe infection. he has a 105 fever. do not bring your dogs here if you love them. or any pets. this place should be shut down and if my dog passes because of this then we will pursue legal action

I never leave negative reviews for businesses, but after today I feel it only necessary. My dog stopped breathing in our home and was suffering. He needed IMMEDIATE attention. We called Ramtown Vet at 10:30 in the morning saying we need to bring him in right away and that he was seizing and not breathing. The response that we got was “can you come in at 2?” We were told to come in 3 and a half hours AFTER we needed attention. I am such an understanding person, but that response really is unacceptable. If they couldn’t take my dog immediately, we should have AT LEAST been told in a empathetic manner and offered another solution, such as a phone number to a nearby animal hospital. The fact that in an upset state I had to research where I could take my dog for treatment is appalling. We ended up taking our dog to another office, and he passed away. We will no longer be patients at this office.

If you care about your pets do not bring them to this vet. All they care about here is making a quick buck but not actually diagnosing or caring for your animals. On our last visit, we told them that our Labrador’s retriever had a variety of unusual symptoms and was acting very abnormal. After looking at him for no more than a minute or two they sent us off with 20 dollar ear solution and a bunch of other worthless medicine. Obviously, nothing changed with our dogs condition and in fact our dog got worse and worse so we finally went for a second opinion. Sadly, we found out that our dog has cancer, lime disease and a UtI which ramtown clearly missed. Horrible place!
