I was scheduled to have a dental cleaning for my dog Monday morning. Saturday night at 6 pm I received a voicemail asking if it was possible for me to bring her in on Sunday at 8:30 am instead. I thought it was late notice and sounded pretty early for a Sunday but I agreed. When I arrived on time this morning there were no lights on and the doors were locked. There was a sign that said to enter through Petsmart but Petsmart wasn’t open yet. The sign on the doors said the Sunday hours start at 10. The voicemail recording said on Sundays that Banfield opens at 8. I called and left a voicemail saying that I was there and no one was there to take my dog Sophie. There was also another man with his cat that said he had an appt at 8:30 as well and we were both confused. I waited in the parking lot for 10 minutes more before heading home. My dog is very nervous and shakes very badly when she gets close to Banfield so I didn’t want to make her wait in distress longer than she needed to. Also the air quality is hazardous in Portland right now, so waiting wasn’t really a healthy idea. At 9:45 Banfield called. The person who called sounded like a younger girl and she was speaking really rushed and said “we got your voicemail, we’re here if you want to come in now”. I told her that I was already there at my scheduled time and no one was there and she brushed it off saying sorry quickly and that people couldn’t make it in due to the fires. The evacuation borders haven’t changed for around 2 days, it felt like a weird excuse, especially because someone had called me to reschedule for that time only 12 hours before. I told her that no, I didn’t want to bring Sophie in after that, I had a bad taste in my mouth about it. She didn’t offer to reschedule or apologize in a professional manner. Also, she clearly wasn’t properly trained if she was suggesting I bring my dog in for a dental cleaning at 10 am. Dogs aren’t supposed to have food 12 hours before that. She didn’t ask if my dog had eaten anything before she suggested to bring her in an hour and a half past her appt time. Obviously I had fed her by then. I will not be bringing my dog back to this Banfield location . After that experience I don’t trust the people who work there to be on time or professional or properly trained.

Took my puppy in for his first visit and shots. Everyone was kind, professional and courteous. The vet was very informative and helpful with tips for me as a new pet owner. I'm very pleased with how every thing went.

Terrible! Took my kitten there a couple days ago. it took 4 hours for them to see the issue with my cat. They only gave me 2 medications and when i got back home my cat would meow more than normal and he would sleep too much, his playing and eating habits changed drastically and now he limps Nd cries more. He has a bump on his side and he meows everytime you touch his side. Staff was alright but not the best. (Basically brought my kitten back home from the vet with an injury)

**UPDATE: After multiple attempts to contact them I've heard NOTHING! And am still being charged. UNBELIEVABLE!nI have reached out to Banfield with my issues a month ago. Don't worry they received my complaint, I know this because they switched my dog to deceased in their system an hour after I emailed.nnMy complaints are too long to write out in this review but it boils down to lack of care, never receiving follow up calls (regarding appointment scheduling, test results, just lack of information regarding my pet's health), and overall disregard for my dog (client of 7 YEARS!). As an example, I needed to schedule a surgeon consult. I missed the phone call to do so on Monday (4/20), called back on Tuesday (4/21) letting them know the matter has escalated to urgent due to the mass bleeding. By the time they called me back (over 1 week later 4/29) to FINALLY schedule my dog's surgeon consult, I was already forced to make the decision to put my dog to sleep. She would have realized this fact,nif she had checked the records (remember? they switched by dog to deceased without any treatment). I was forced to use two other reputable companies for my dog's health issues since Banfield lacked any ability or responsiveness to help me.nnYour company let me down. For the first time in 7 years as a customer I really needed serious care for my pet and you weren’t there. If it was one thing I would have let it go but as you can see your company was incompetent time after time. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with your company.
