The Pet Mechanic South Street

I had a great experience with the Pet Mechanic on South Street. They were very professional and personable. I felt very comfortable with them looking at my cats, even the one who is not very friendly. The prices were very reasonable too. I would highly recommend.

Brought my cat Jade in for a new patient check-up since the center city Banfield location closed. It turned into a problem visit unfortunately because we had to switch up her food due to a discontinuation since booking the appointment and she hasn't been going #2 normally. I thought everyone in the office did a great job of listening and they were kind. Dr. Foley was patient and I liked the way he prioritized her digestive issue and said not to even focus on her teeth right now (a usual issue for us) until she's back to normal. Other vets would have pressured me to get her next appointment/dental cleaning on the books. Price seemed reasonable for an office visit, administration of fluids, and a little laxative to take home to help her along - about $125. Looks like we found a new vet!nnAs for COVID measures - only 4 folks allowed in the lobby at a time (not strongly enforced as I counted 5 once but it was only for a couple minutes), masks required, and you can't go back with your pet. Not a huge fan of that last policy and I also don't entirely understand it if I can take myself to the doctor and go back in an exam room... BUT it seems consistent for Philadelphia vets so I am not holding it against them. I did find it a little distracting to have a couple dogs in the lobby while a vet is trying to talk to me about my cat. Little hard to focus with the noise of barking and such and would have liked a separate area to go and chat even if it's like behind a partition? I totally understand all of this though. We are all doing what we can!

I've reviewed this vet before at 5 stars and I will say it again they are amazing with all of my cats. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Their customer service and vets and entire staff are so friendly and so accommodating and quick to respond. They always go above and beyond. They have even called up to check on my pets after a visit. I highly reccomend them to anyone that is looking for a vet clinic that really cares about what they do and each pet they care for. Thank you to everyone at the pet mechanic for your amazing care through my many years of visits . Also they even send out friendly reminders when your pet is due for an annual physical exam. I truly can't thank them enough !

So glad we switched to the Pet Mechanic for the care of our shiba. Everyone on the staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We got quick test results per text by our request. The veterinarian answered all of our questions and gave great advice about handling our dog's diet and walking quirks. Their prices are reasonable and it was easy to schedule an appointment.

There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this veterinarian clinic. Everyone has always been very nice and helpful, the clinic is clean, waiting times are short and pricing is affordable and clear. I trust them with all my cats and have been very happy with their service.
