I took my cat here (on a weekend when my normal vet is closed) when he was struggling to urinate, and he was diagnosed with bladder stones that needed to be surgically removed. North Star did an excellent job explaining everything, answering questions, and with the surgery itself. My cat recovered great and I felt very comfortable with North Star during the whole process. The only downside is they are extremely expensive. I understand they are an emergency/specialist vet, but a “fairly routine” surgery cost over $3,000. After the cost of the original visit and the surgery consultation, it ended up costing about $3,700. But you at least get what you pay for.

As we all know, losing a fur child is a major heartache. My Vet was closed on the day my cat Daisey passed at home. I contacted North Star Maple Shade NJ, and from beginning to end of dealing with North Star, my baby & I received 5 star service, compassion & friendliness. Even after I got a card and a paw print from Pet Meadow. I couldn’t have felt better so fast without this Vet & Pet Meadow. I want to thank all the staff, especially Grace. ud83dude0a

We brought our cat here because she seemed generally unwell and unlike herself - meowing as if in pain, threw up, wasn’t eating, etc. It was 9 pm on a weekday and this was the only place open. We were seen within an hour and the doctor was so professional, compassionate, and had great expertise! She diagnosed our kitty with a viral GI bug/food poisoning, and recommended a shot of some anti-nausea medication for her - instead of doing the alternative (expensive work up including xrays, blood tests, etc.) I had complete trust in her reasoning and went with what she suggested. Our cat felt better by the next day and is now back to her normal self, thank goodness! They also emailed a few days later to check in on her, which was very thoughtful. Our family definitely recommends them!

Before I write everything I want to be clear that this review is related to the front desk only, being more clear to the employee called Lilian.nI stayed this afternoon for almost 2h with my cat that is sick, I have an amazing experience with the intern medicine veterinarian, she is really amazing.nThe issue happened when my cat's medication wasn't available and my cat's primary vet clinic was going to refill for me. Unfortunately they only had caps and should be liquid, so they called NorthStar back and it was said that it was coming from their other unit in Robbinsville tonight, 10/13/2020.nI just called, about 2h after confirmed that my cats medication was going to be tonight to pick and I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.nMs. Lilian was extremely rude and said that it was cancelled even after I explained everything that happened. She just said: THE MEDICATION WILL NOT BE HERE TONIGHT I GUARANTEE, IF YOU WANT YOU GO THERE AND PICK IT UP BY YOURSELF!!nEXCUSE ME?! I just spend more than $1500 with a sick cat and you have no compassion in your heart at all.nThe lady shouldn't be working in an animal hospital, in fact in any hospital neither health care.nBTW i asked to talk with medical director and she said when she will be there she can call me, but tonight no one there to talk with me or help.nI called Robbinsville and the lady is extremely nice and compassionate, is trying to help but yes, she called Maple Shade and the same Ms. Lilian said that THEY ARE NOT EXPECTING ANY MEDICATION FOR MY VERY SICK CAT!!!

This hospital and staff are extremely thoughtful and thorough. I brought my Oscar there for and emergency visit and received nothing but A-plus service. After having to make the decision to lay my furbaby to rest, the support my family received from them was beyond amazing!!! I wish it was under different circumstances. However I'm extremely grateful to have met these caring individuals.
