Would not help my animal because I didn't have any money

I went there asking for friendly and cuddly dog. They told me to adopt this dog because she’s nice. I went with the dog I had just adopted to see some friends and she started barking and growling like crazy. She even bit someone at one point. Mind you this dog is big. This dog has always loved me and has always protected me and always will. I fortunately had the $3000 to dish out and get the dog professionally trained. For anyone who can’t be VERY careful with this shelter. I will definitely adopt from here again, and I highly recommend it but be aware. They are definitely the type to push you to adopt a dog that isn’t your ideal companion just for their benefit.

As always, my little fireball Yorki lights up the room with his nonstop chatter when we are there for an exam or shots. I guess he was excited because there were so many new friends, scents, and places to explore. This is not my first time here. I keep returning because I like how they take care of my four legged fur baby with each visit. Overall, they seemed to have genuine people working at this facility who care and are very patient, even with talkative busy bee guests. They have a very organized system of moving people in and out quickly for vaccinations and they don't try to talk you into more services than you need. Great place doing great things.

The behaviorist here isn't very helpful BUT honestly my biggest issue is that they spay and neuter here even when the pet is two months old. This often causes urinary issues for dogs and that is exactly what our puppy is experiencing unfortunately. I do understand why they are doing it but I really wish they wouldn't. There has to be a better way. We adopted our other puppy from a different agency and they had us sign a contract stating we would spay at 6 months which we happily did and she is fine. I would highly suggest not spaying the female pups until they are at least 6 months of age. This is coming from a former veterinary technician.

Great customer service by front desk staff and animal handlers. They took the time to suggest dogs that might be a good fit for my family. Facility and adoptable dogs were clean.
