Hodes Veterinary Health Center

I have used this vet for a couple of years last year we had a bad experience with our Great Pyrenees they shaved him and it was horrible some spots were clear to the skin and other spots were high very uneven. We decided to give them another chance as we love Dr Tanner who works there. But on October 27 I had my 3 dogs to go in for a bath and have my male Great Pyrenees looked at. I was running late The receptionist called me I explained to her what the problem was and told her I would be there as soon as I could. Then 30 minutes later the receptionist called me again and I explain to her yet again why I was running behind and I was very sorry and I would be there just as soon as I could and she sighed but I chose to ignore it as I was already feeling stressed due to being late. I spoke with Dr. Tanner about my Great Pyrenees and he was very helpful love this veterinarian and I went and picked my dogs up and took them back to my office with me as soon as I got back to my office in which I walked them over to my office my Great Pyrenees started throwing up and having diarrhea everywhere. I immediately called the vet very frantic and asked the receptionist what did you give my dogs my male Pyrenees is throwing up and having diarrhea all over my office she put me on hold and a female veterinarian came on the line and told me it was probably from the car ride home I told her I walked my dogs to my office there was no car ride home and that my Great Pyrenees was throwing up and having diarrhea all over my office and she proceeded to tell me it was the Dewormer that they gave them because my dogs were so infested with worms (which I was shocked she said this as my dogs were in for a bath on a regular basis)and that she could see that I was highly agitated And she didn’t appreciate how I treated her receptionist that morning and I should treat them with the same respect they treated me with.I proceeded to explain to her what the receptionist had done that morning and told her of course I’m highly agitated right now my Great Pyrenees is puking and pooping all over my office and nobody told me that they could throw up and have diarrhea. She then did apologize to me after I explained to her my conversation with the receptionist that morning. I have never been rude or miss treated anybody in that office and was shocked that she said that to me! Since having this conversation, I have decided to find another vet we will miss Dr. Tanner as not only did he take care of my dogs he also took care of my rooster before he passed Dr. Tanner will be missed. but we refuse to use a vet clinic that treats their clients like that.nnSince getting a response from the Vet that I spoke with, my appointment time was for 8:30 I arrived at 9:45 I had discussed with the receptionist why I was going to be late and received 2 calls within an hour as for being rude that is a flat out lie. As parasite control goes it was your job to keep my pets taken care of! Anyone who knows me knows the type of person I am. Of course I can understand your response after a bad review I am just sorry I gave your clinic a second chance after your first mistake.

I had to take my puppy in for surgery for a broken humerus I’m glad I got a second opinion and went to Hodes the vet who saw my baby was very professional and informative he went over all the different options we had which the first place did not. I would def recommend this place in a heart beat! After the surgery the vet called and went over the operation with me and answered my questions. The girls answering the phones are so nice.

Dr. Hodes took excellent care of my animals. I have interacted with several of the DVMs at this practice and they are all amazing. Highly recommended them for your animals.

They took care of my dog's really complicated leg surgery and were so kind and compassionate through the entire process. I so appreciate Dr Brian and Dr Jessica's assistance and care. They are wonderful people and provide the best care for animals. The clinic is very clean and organized and the staff is amazingly friendly. Definitely go there if you have any veterinary needs.

They care deeply about every animal that the Drs treat. All of the Drs are excellent and the facilities are immaculate.
