My wife took in paperwork for my mother in law's life insurance 5 years ago, thinking that they could handle this simple task, fast forward and at the day of the funeral they did not have it taken care of, nor did they listen to our request for the music or how she was to be presented. Then a few months later the family was told that the headstone was placed, it was not, just some more fill dirt added. I will not recommend this place to anyone who cares and loves their family members and wants a dignified burial for them, so that the family members may grieve without filling out paperwork after the funeral, because incompetence should have no place in a funeral home.

I had a pleasant experiance with Blair after my aunt was at another facility and was not very happy how they were handling things. They worked seamless to bring her there and take care of there like a human being. When I arrived to pick up her ashes Mike treated her delicate like her was handing me a bundled baby. The respect of your loved ones is respected here.

Where do I even begin! Lissa is an incredible woman. I think we often forget how hard of a job she has and as sad as families situations are I know that having a job like her’s she probably often goes home with sadness in her heart as well. From beginning to end she made myself and my family feel important. She was on top of EVERYTHING. I truly cannot say enough great things about her.nBeing only 36 and losing my mother who was only 57 was and is a tragic experience to go through. When you think of your parents memory and how you want them represented at their funeral is not only hard to go through but scary to plan. She made everything so much easier to go through. More than I could’ve ever imagined. I actually dreaded coming to our first meeting but I can say now meeting Lissa was a blessing to our family.nFrom the bottoms of our heart we are so thankful to Merle Hay Funeral Home and Lissa. You are angels in disguise. Thank you so much for your love, support and devotion to my family. We will never forget it! ❤ufe0f

Headstone for my mom placed on the wrong grave. Wondering how does that happen when they should have a grid to show where loved ones are placed at. Never using them for any of my funeral arrangements.

First and foremost, I wish to express my gratitude to both Lissa and Blair for their flawless professionalism and sincere care for both my mother and myself. Without your guidance, I could not have navigated this storm.nnKnowing my mother was approaching the end of her journey, I began the process of educating myself on the funerary arts, of which I knew very little. The first funeral home I contacted was Merle Hay Funeral Home, and I was fortunate to have landed in the company of Lissa Belle, who quite honestly set the standard for my future conversations with other area funeral homes. You see, placing my mother in the care of others was an emotional challenge for me. And I needed to know that my mother would be safe and treated with care and respect. And so I interviewed each and every leading funeral home in town. I had many questions, and as it turned out, many decisions to make; the kinds of decisions no one ever wants to make. And it was here where Lissa Belle really shined. She was knowledgeable and honest in her response to my many (many) questions, and beyond patient to my follow up calls (and always more questions). And when I stumbled; when I didn’t know what to do, Lissa offered loving advice. I often felt as if I were speaking to an old friend.nnFor me, May 10th, 2019 will forever be one of the biggest and most difficult days of my life. And I’m sure to Team Merle Hay, May 10th was just another ordinary workday. But they never behaved as such. Each and every person I encountered on this team showed the utmost care and concern and respect. My world had collapsed around me, and these Earth angles stepped in as pillars of strength. And although they will not remember me as time marches on, I will always remember them.
