Casselton Veterinary Service

My husband took our pitbull in to this vet to see why he wasn't eating. They wanted us to pay $800 total but they wouldn't even look at my dog before we paid $400. We ended up taking our dog to a different vet and he was seen right away without any issues. We were able to find out what was going on and the total cost for us was under $200. We will not be using this vet in the future for anything. Worst service I have ever experienced from a vet in my life.

I have tried 3 different vets for my 2 cats and Casselton vet is definitely my favorite by far. They know what they’re doing and always seem like they love their job! I was very anxious because I had to stay in my car due to COVID, but they did a fantastic job making me feel at ease. One thing I was not pleased with was the payment process for the appointment. They asked for my card before they had even taken my cats in which is fine, makes the leaving process faster afterwards. However, not once did they tell me how much the appointment cost. I checked at the end of the day and saw on my checking account app that it was $240. I’m not bothered by the price, it’s appropriate for what was done at the appointment, but annoyed that they didn’t say anything. That’s a lot of money to just pull out of an account without comment.nThis will not deter me from continuing to bring my cats and future pets there. Just wanted to make it known.

The Casselton location has the best staff. My German Shepherd is reactive to other dogs, so going to the vet causes us both anxiety. On all our visits, we have had a great experience and the vet techs are always so excited to see her. I can’t say enough how much it means to me!

I’ve been going here since Doc Roth was the vet - some 40 plus years. I’ve moved in and out of the community, but if I’m close... this is my go to vet. Doc Mark Wieland is second to none. He is honest, even when it’s not the answer you want to hear. I trust him and his staff.

We had just moved to the area & our basset hound got sick. We were asking around about vets and a few people had told us great things about this one. We were new clients but they still got us in right away & took awesome care of our girl!
