Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center

Brought my guinea pig in. Who was probably the most well taken care of animal of this kind on earth, but he was feeling down. They keep him for 8 hours, on the phone they tell me he is doing fine, and I should be able to treat at home for the next few days. Made me feel real good about it. He dies an hour later at our house. I hold this clinic completely responsible for his death, mistreatment and lack of appropriate care.

I took my cat of 16 years in and ended up having to make the sudden and heartbreaking decision to put him down. The staff was so incredibly kind and comforting. We never felt rushed, and they explained everything to us and we were able to be with him for his last moments. It was a truly heartbreaking experience that was made as comfortable and smooth as possible. The staff was knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and caring. I cannot say enough great things about the people we worked with there during a difficult time.

Great place if you have money. Which we don't. It's a miracle our dog is even alive still, and she's the best dog. She had a very slim chance of living through the tumor removal and a chance of it coming back. The surgery cost blew my mind, but I am grateful for the great work that was done. We know now to stick to our local vet. I highly recommend trying to get a ballpark estimate over the phone or asap before jumping in too far.

My Oliver is back to being his sweet self after a midnight emergency visit. I couldn't be happier with the care he received. Unsure about all the other negative posts. I didn't have any of those issues. Everyone was extremely nice to me and my Oliver, I was kept aware of what was going on, no rudeness whatsoever. One person didn't like my restricted number but I get that almost everywhere I call. As for middle of the night emergency services I expected to pay an arm and a leg to have my boy feeling better and was very surprised it wasn't even an arm. I paid more in my home state and my normal vet to have him neutered than I paid for this overnight service. I wish they offered normal vet services, I'd gladly bring Oliver back for his yearly and rabies shots. Wish I had someplace like this back where I live.

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about the hospital and it’s staff. We had to put our beloved dog to sleep. The staff was extremely caring and attentive. Even with all the Covid restrictions the staff kept us very informed and was very sensitive to our situation. The area that we were taken to, to spend time with our pup before she was put down was extremely nice and a warm environment to be in during the time. A big thanks to everyone for caring for our girl!
