If I can come back as a pet I want Fenton River Vet to be my Hospital. Recently we had to put our four legged child down. Using Home Euthanasia thru Fenton River Vet was such a stress reducing experience. From the time Kathryn and Kat arrived at our home we knew we were in good hands. Before anything took place we were guided through the process. The ladies showed us the utmost respect and caring, this allowed us to take our time. Jake was led to the big water bowl in the sky with such love and caring. Fenton River Vet you deserve an award! Jake you are in a better place thanks to the kindness of the vets.

Last Thursday we had to do an emergency vet visit after hours for my 73lb German shepherd, Emma. She had a large laceration on her leg, which hit a vein, and she was bleeding all over the place. After calling over 5 vet hospitals in the local area – and getting no one to pick up or even return my call – I tried Fenton. They quickly returned my call – were totally okay with the fact that we were not a client of theirs – and told us that a doctor was on his way and would meet us there. In my moment of panic, I never even thought to bring her collar, leash or anything. (In my defense, there was a lot of blood and I DON’T handle blood very well lol) From the moment we arrived the staff was amazing. They calmed my fears, they took great care of my girl and I left there feeling like they were caring for one of their own pets. Every staff member that walked by as they were leaving acknowledged us and gave us updates, no one was judgmental or rude about what happened, it was an amazing experience. I’ve been to many vets in the local area throughout my years of owning dogs – but I am certain now I have found the perfect vet for us. Before we left – they even let us borrow a leash since I never brought mine. I will never have the right words, or be able to thank the staff at Fenton River for saving my girl – and reassuring us as “dog parents” that she would pull through okay.

I had to put my beloved Walden dog down today. I spent hours agonizing over the decision, mostly because I didn’t want to stress him out by having to bring him to the vet and disrupt him in that way. He would be in an unfamiliar place on a cold hard floor with strangers all around. I had heard about home euthanasia so I called around and found Fenton River. The moment the receptionist answered the phone, I knew I was doing the right thing. She was so kind and immediately sympathetic to my situation. I heard genuine care in her voice. A few hours later Dr Scott showed up and walked us through the process. He talked with me, reassured me that I was making the right choice and doing what was best for Walden. He sat with Walden and my other dog and pet them both, getting them comfortable. He kept telling Walden he was a good boy and petting him. He gave us time as a family to grieve, time to be alone with Walden. Even with a pandemic, he gave us the space to take off our masks and be with him. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to let my best friend go at home where he was comfortable and with his family. Thank you Dr. Morey for being so wonderful with my family and my dog. This was a terribly hard day and you and your staff made it easier.
