My healthy 14 month old german shepherd went in to get neutered. He came home around 2:30pm and passed away less than 2 hours later. They did an autopsy and said that he passed away from internal bleeding. A simple neuter should have never led to internal bleeding and him passing away so tragically. They said that he must have had some type of blood or clotting disorder- however shouldn’t they have noticed this during surgery and closing him up? I talked to another vet about this, and he said that a neuter in a healthy dog should never lead to any type of internal bleeding. Clark Fork did not seem to own up to the situation and did not offer a refund. It’s not about the money because nothing will ever bring my dog back, but they should have attempted to make this right in some sort of way. Prior to this I thought they were pretty great, but after this incident I highly do not recommend them. My dog would still be here today, if I would have taken him elsewhere to be neutered.

The team here saved our beloved dogs life. We are so grateful for the quick action and care that Dr. Nielsen and Dr. Thomas provided. We were passing through town and they got us in right away for an emergency situation. They acted quickly, were very professional, gave us lots of updates, and took care of her for an extended time. Many thanks to all of the staff, they helped us through a really scary and difficult situation.

Very poor communication between the four veterinarians. Went in several times about my cat. Had to explain every time what was happening after surgery. No one cared enough to really look at what I was saying. They pulled a few abscesses teeth, left a hole between to nasal cavity. Food got up behind eye and caused infection. After 5 visits and no help I took him to another vet. It was too late

Insult of intelligence- negligence.n14 mo old dog went in for neuter. Died hours later. Was told he must have had a rare clotting disorder or something. But was told bloodwork probably wouldn’t have shown ???? WHAT? If there was a “clotting disorder- that would have been discovered when making incision???nWhen he was picked up. Was told it was a routine neuter. Everything went well.nDog slept when he got home. Got up once for drink of water collapsed.nHe was brought in- they opened him up and had bled out.nRefuse to try to make anything right - just a bunch of excuses. THINK TWICE BEFORE ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN TO YOU!!!

Amazing. Wonderful people to work with. My dog hasn't been to the vet in 5 years and I feel like many other places look down on us and make me feel guilty. We live near billings and vets tend to be unreasonably costly. Clark Fork vet and team were amazing and the prize was reasonable. Thank you all for help and making me feel better about making my pet healthy and happier.
