PetSmart

I went in to this location to get insulin for my diabetic dog because the one in Lake Mead is closed on Sunday. They were not able to give me the insulin because my dog have never been seen there. Why does it matter? They said they were able to see the information and dog’s record, is Banfield not the same company? It’s shouldn’t matter what location. Having access to records should make it easier for them to fill the medication, they can see the information on the computer but they can’t do anything about it. The policy makes no sense, I pay my insurance each month, but they would rather let my dog get sick than to help. So much for “pet care”, I will cancel Banfield insurance after 8 years and take my dog somewhere else. During this COVID pandemic they should make some kind of exception. I ask Vanessa can I speak to the doctor that is here now, she said the doctor is performing surgery and can’t speak to me. So I ask her what should I do? I don’t have insulin for my dog. She offer no solutions and said sorry. The next day I went to my regular petsmart on Lake Mead. I was told that all Venessa has to do was check my dog in so the doctor there could see my dog and then they can give me the insulin. I was more upset when I found that out. Shame on Banfield at Petsmart’s for not caring for my pet and letting a person of no knowledge of pet emergency be a front office lead.

Big selection easy access

They don’t offer the food my dog eats, however the store is my back up when petco is closed. The staff have always been nice at the counter however I haven’t noticed anyone go out of their wait to assist me like I have at other pet stores. Over all the experience is not bad, just lacking in areas it could be better.

They have the best staff here! Always friendly and helpful. My puppy loves to go with me because the workers always ay with him and give him a treat!

Usually can find what I need at reasonable prices. Associates are friendly and greet you when coming in, and offer help. The line to checkout can get long.
