VCA Old Canal Animal Hospital

Our dog needed an eye removed because of a painful condition, but Dr. Green strung us along for months, at additional cost, until finally agreeing to remove the eye. After receiving an inflated quote for the surgery, we went to a different vet to remove the eye at less than half the price quoted by old canal. Today, our dog is doing great.

We had to have our dog put down last week. The vet hospital we normally go to said we could not stay with her during the euthanasia procedure. This was unacceptable. After a couple phone calls, VCA said we could be with her through the whole thing. Every one was so wonderful. Our dog had a very peaceful death, and we could be there with her. As of now, I will be taking my pets to VCA.

VCA did an awesome job with Gabby's annual visit during social distancing time. Gabby actually seemed LESS stressed with her appointment. Kudos to Jessica and Dr. Green. Their communication was superb - friendly and professional! The doctors here have always treated Gabby very well!

Dr Green was so nice and took her time explaining things to me, very good answering questions.

Horrible experience! I refuse to ever deal with this money hungry Hospital again! Unfortunately my mother is paying the price for mediocre care! Yesterday morning she picked up a prescription for her sickly dog and sadly he passed away by noon. My mother was distraught and we scrambled to come up with money for his cremation as she is on disability herself and things are hard as it is! My mom sacrificed getting her OWN medication just to be able to afford getting his and when I reached out to see if they can give anything back to help, even if it was partial or a credit towards cremation services, ANYTHING they were cruel enough to say NO in the quickness! I am disgusted and disappointed (I completely understand policy and contamination) but if they really wanted to do the right thing for an older woman on fixed income who just wanted to put her fur baby to rest they could have done any small act of kindness to contribute assistance. As if they didn’t already get enough out of her financially with countless amounts of testing and meds all to see NO improvement with his health. These people are clearly all about the money and it is complete BS when they claim to care about your pet as their own! We will never deal with VCA again and if you love your pet and want honest compassion I highly suggest going elsewhere.nnFollowing up as of (10/14/20) on your insincere comment left just to try and cover up your horrible hospital! Now you give condolences? Funny, Nicole was the exact person I already attempted reaching out to for help immediately after his death and she NEVER called me back the following day! I had to call 4 times, was put on hold for over 15mins just for her to not even have the respect or courtesy to pick up the line to speak to myself or my upset mother. Instead in the back she told the receptionist “tell her that’s a NO” so please don’t lie and claim to be helpful on any level. You guys are disgusting and I will continue to review THE TRUTH!
