We’ve been bringing our pup here since his first vet exam after we brought him home. They definitely seem popular (the parking lot is full every time I bring my dog by), but I’ve found that they always come out and grab my dog promptly at my appointment time.nnThe Vets and Techs that I’ve interacted with are always very friendly and kind to me and our pup. I’ve appreciated too that the vet has been honest with me about what shots or treatment my dog needed vs. what might be a excessive/not necessary- I never feel like I’m being oversold or pushed on something.nnMy dog is always happy to visit, which I think is telling!
Had two dogs fixed with their help, they did an outstanding job, small incisions no complications.
I bring my dog in a emergency and they take good care of him very understanding and professional they safe my dog live !! Thanks rippowam animal hospital
They made a serious mistake with my sisters dog and will not own up to it. They verbally admitted they were wrong but will not put it in writing nor assume financial responsibility for their mistake and when we tried to reason them were extremely nasty and rude to my whole family who has used them for 10+ years. Their final response to us was “go ahead and sue us if you want” and in my opinion thats a horrible way to end our long time relationship. I recently just got a dog of my own but will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
We lost our beautiful Golden Retriever Mocha yesterday, October 29th. She would have been 12 on Dec. 2ᴺᴰ. It's difficult to put into words the magnitude of compassion and care we received from Dr. Lazarus and the staff at Rippowam. Mocha had emergency surgery on August 27th after an extensive exam. Her appetite had been diminishing in recent days. Ultrasound and x-rays revealed a tumor on her spleen. Both her tumor and spleen were removed in the same morning. The results of her bloodwork indicated hemangiosarcoma, a non-curable vascular cancer. We elected to not go the route of chemo' because of her age. She survived two months after the surgery, which we knew could be the case. We went the Turkey Tail and ip6 with inositol route which I shared with Dr. Lazarus. We were religious about administering the two. Dr. Lazarus was respectfully honest, letting us know such treatment was likely anecdotal. In the end we don't believe either product helped her. To be blunt, there is no good scientific evidence to support their uses. I did my own extensive research, spending hours looking up case studies. The problem is that most studies revolve around a very small number of “participants.” We also took her off her daily fish oil as she was bleeding internally. Yunnan Baiyao may have helped with her internal bleeding. One thing I want to mention: Do your reading re. ip6 with inositol. Once we knew she was bleeding internally we took her off it. In one place I read it may have some anti-blood clotting effect. I’m not certain of anything.nnWe set her free yesterday, October 29th, as she was having difficulty standing. Her quality of life had been diminishing over the past few days. The collective compassion from the Rippowam staff, including Danielle and Dr. Lazarus was deeply heartfelt. I don't believe I've ever had a doctor with such compassion, and who communicated as well. We've been with Rippowam for close to twenty years. We can’t imagine going anywhere else.
