We are so grateful for the care of Dr. Bakewell at Mt. Pleasant. Both of our doodles are under the care of the staff at this facility. They are amazing and genuinely care about our pets. The vet techs are amazing as well. Both are dogs were also spayed here and each procedure was executed flawlessly. Just this week we had an emergency with our puppy and I called less than 45 minutes until close. We were quickly helped and they were kind enough to only charge us for the actual medication dispensed. Cannot say enough good things about this practice and their staff. We feel lucky to be a part of the Mt. Pleasant Family!
It is a bit more expensive than others, and although they were sorry that our beloved mastiff was dying they also were worried about getting paid and somewhat pushy about getting money before they were going to help him. It was an emotional moment and they did seem sorry that we had to let him go, however when I had used VCA Northside animal hospital and had to put my 1st dog down as he was in terrible pain as they found multiple tumors on his brain and they couldn't guarentee that he would survive surgery they were much more attentive to the situation and without even knowing they had a paw print made from some type of cement casting and then sent it with a condolence card to us. Which was amazing they didn't even bring up money 1st they were willing to do anything they could for him to be comfortable.
Clean, efficient. Owners are allowed in - you drive up, call the office from your car and they tell you if you can come in. If you don't want to, they will come and get the animal (never tried that myself). Inside the waiting area is large enough that you can be separated. Animal goes I to the room with a tech, you wait in the waiting area (rooms are small). We'll run, friendly, prices are middle of the road.

Just moved to the area and this place came highly recommended. Visit was a simple final round of puppy vaccines, so the bar was pretty low, but everyone was friendly and professional and they did a good job with covid precautions so 5 stars based on limited experience.
