Very expensive in terms of lab exams and prescriptions .nand I see as not professional when they sell a prescribed medicine such as Mirtazapine 15mg - generic - appetite stimulant - for $8 DOLLARS per pill if you can easily find the same prescription at Chewy , Petmeds, VetRXDirect, mailmyprescription for something between $0,12 - 0,50 CENTS per pill!!!!nI think that they should tell their clients how much they charge and suggest them to search around for better price.nCharge 7000% more than the market is abusive and disrespectful with the clients !

PLEASE read this Review if you care about your pets and EVEN your wallet! I am writing this Review for YOU, and your pets. I just read negative remarks on the “Greenwich Connections” FB Website, regarding “Peter”, the Manager of VCA Davis Animal Hospital. That he is “rude, arrogant, obnoxious, etc.” and ALL OF THAT IS TRUE! The only thing that VCA Davis Animal Hospital cares about is YOUR MONEY!! I spent approx $30,000 over 17 years with my two boys “Bungee and Blue” and one died at age 12 because he went undiagnosed for diabetes, and while Blue died of old age, NO ONE sent a sympathy card, or even acknowledged their deaths, except for the vet. VREC in Norwalk, however, COULDN’T apologize enough. Knew Blue by his name. From the very first day!! Sent sympathy cards, gave a gift. ASIDE FROM NOT RECEIVING THE PROPER CARE, no one at VCA Davis Animal Hospital even CARED that they died. I KNEW that I should have just left there, but it was “conveniently located.” Please, do not make the same mistake I did. They over-medicated Blue with insulin. Doses that I later found out, he could have “overdosed” on. And their TERRIBLE Manager has infected nearly the ENTIRE staff. They WILL go out of business. I guarantee it. No one can run a business this way, treating you like THEY are the customer!! I blame myself for staying. That’s on me. But I urge you to not make that same mistake. And Blue just died last year but when I have a new pet, I am not stepping foot in that place!! While VCA Davis is OVERPRICED, I ended up paying 3 x’s as much so he could receive the proper care at VREC in Norwalk. YES! I was bringing him regularly to VREC. So, towards the end, I did WAKE-UP. Listen, just find somewhere else. PLEASE do NOT go here. It’s a miserable place, and the Manager is incompetent and offensive. I don’t care WHAT “positive reviews” you might read about VCA Davis Animal Hospital. The office is pathetically run. It’s all lies. After a decade, they won’t even know your pet’s NAME when you walk in the door!! If you are with VCA Davis Animal Hospital now, I strongly suggest that you find a new place. Remember, this Review is for you!! And that is all it is for. Good luck and all the best to you, your family, and your fur babies. Thank you. Greenwich Resident.

I can't recommend VCA Davis enough. I live in Norwalk so the location is a bit out of the way for me but it's well worth it. Originally, I would always request the same Dr (because he's great) but over time I've learned they're all great and you can't go wrong!nnThey consistently work with my schedule and have made time for me when one of my pets has needed an urgent appointment.nnThey have been SO kind and SO realistic about treatment options and finances. When I first adopted a senior cat (at 10-11 years old) they were great about explaining to me what really needed to be done and what things were truly optional (things like teeth extractions or extra diagnoses for her presumed cerebellar hypoplasia). I really appreciated that they didn't shame me for not being able to spend thousands of dollars on procedures that weren't totally necessary for my cat to have a good quality of life.nnWhen my senior cat was having bladder issues, they were GREAT about giving me options at different price points and explaining the benefits of each. In the end, I was able to treat it through prescription diet and was able to avoid VERY expensive surgery.nnToday, another cat was having chronic stomach trouble and couldn't keep any food down (in the midst of a pandemic, of course!). They squeezed me in for a same day appointment and treated us with such great care. The doctors are so kind and helpful.
