Golden Mile Animal Clinic

I was taking my cat there for the first time. When I called to make the appointment I told them that my cat was sometimes aggressive towards me but not my boyfriend or anyone else. When I went to my appointment, not only was my cat terrified because he is not around other animals, but he also didn't know where he was. The assistant wouldn't even get the vet! He said there was nothing that they could do Because he was being extremely aggressive. After I kept apologizing and telling him that he is never THIS bad the assistant said that the only thing he could suggest was to put my cat down! Excuse me?! Im sorry but if there is a vet for a lion, there is a vet for my 15 pound cat. I am very dissatisfied with my experience at this clinic

I am very upset to even write this review, but I feel that this day in age it’s the way to go. My family has been loyal to this vet for 30+ years and me personally for 7. I have always loved this vet and the staff and never had anything negative to say. Over the past year, I feel that I can count of 2 staff members. The other, one in particular is very rude, short, dismissive of questions, and feels that it is appropriate to make determinations on their own rather than ask the dr and call back with answers. My two dogs came in for blood work to get their teeth done. My little girls blood work came back with her liver function so off the charts the machine couldn’t even read it. I was not advised of this right away, but just handed a pill and was advised the function was “really high”. Needless to say I called back after a week of not being able to get her to really eat and was then told about the insanely high results and that they are going to refer her to an internist at AVETS. I had to take her in for emergency tests and fluids. Needless to say, she is no longer with us as she was diagnosed with a large tumor on her liver. Not that she wouldn’t have passed, but the fact I was kept in the dark and any questions I asked were pushed to the side and then was told to basically go somewhere else. I am fed up with the horrible service and just feeling like I cannot trust my pet in their care. A few years ago, I would have absolutely recommended this practice. I have left and gone to another vet and am already so happy and impressed with the attentiveness that was so lacking at Golden Mile.

I love Dr. Schowalter at Golden Mike Animal Clinic. He is always wonderful with my Australian cattle dog Harley. And his staff is so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this office.⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f

An honest vet that is nice yet pulls no punches when it comes to the animal. He will help how ever he can. And he doesn't cost you your soul as payment. I've been a client for more than 30 years.
