VCA Bakerstown Animal Hospital

I've been taking my pets to Bakerstown Animal Hospital for 15+ years. Regardless of the reason for the visit, my pets receive nothing less than above outstanding care from Dr. Reed, the other doctors, and an exceptional staff who warmly welcome you and your pet. Humanity does have a future as long as there are people like Dr. Reed of Bakerstown Animal Hospital! The eye of daughters' two year old Labrador Retriever Scout started closing yesterday around 5:30 PM after apparently he scratched it while trying to relieve itching caused by a fly as I would discovered seven hours later. I called Bakestwon Animal Hospital and the prescription for eye drops was filled even though that business was about to close. After spending and hour in the pharmacy and realizing that our human drops contain steroids harmful to dogs I went back to the Bakestown Animal Hospital in desperation hoping that somebody might be still around. The business was closed for over an hour but Dr. Reed who was sorting his notes came out and asked if he could help me. As soon as I mention Scout's name he realized the urgency of my situation. He went back and brought $200 worth of eye drops for my dog knowing all too well that his computer system was shut down for the day and that he would be unable to charge me that night for medications. This is the first time Dr. Reed and I met. I was dressed like a hobo. I speak English with a heavy Eastern European accent and my car is pretty badly beaten. Yet, Dr Reed didn't hesitate a second to help my dog.nnScout is doing well and his eye is almost 100% back less than 24h after the situation. I paid the bill first thing in the morning. I am not a hobo although raising two daughters on my university scientist wages sometimes I feel like one. It is a true privilege to meet human beings with such high ethical standards as Dr. Reed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I took my geriatric (16 yr old feline) girl with congestion, sneezing, runny eyes, seeping ears, sleeping a lot, ect. We had dr. Reese and he was very informative, spent time with us. He gave her an antibiotic shot that and also cleaned her up and did her nails. We are home now, me sitting on the back porch and she is out roaming the yard. I feel so good about taking her.nMaybe just a little pricey, but it's well worth it for the one you love. Kimba, my 'little white lion' has been through so much (ears), and she always bounces back like champ!

Best vet office ever! The staff is welcoming and kind. Overall our time spent here has been a great experience.
