St. Francis Animal Hospital

Not good with exotic animals such as hamsters. I called and asked if they saw hamsters before I scheduled an appointment. I was assured they did and took my hamster there. The doctor didn't know what to do with the hamster. I just feel that I should have been told they didn't see any animals except cats and dogs and it would have saved me much stress for my pet. Their treatment for my pet did not help but instead made it worse.

We own 5 animals, we take them to St. Francis faithfully for wellness check ups and vaccinations. We have always had a good experience until today. Our cat Sampson has what appears to be an ear infection and needs to be seen right away. Sampson is obviously having issues with his ear and we called to get him seen by the vet. We were told that the earliest they could see him wouldn’t be until mid next week. They told us to take him to AVets. Seriously??? I’m sure this issue could be diagnosed in 10 minutes and leave with a medicine that would help relieve our cats discomfort. They are more than happy to take our money for flea and tick medicines, $50 wellness checks, and vaccinations. The one time we actually need there services and they can’t help. We found a vet a hour away who we will take Sampson to in the morning. How can this be possible that these folks, who we give lots of money to and count on being there when our animals are in need, just not care?? Absolutely disgusted

8/17 update: well it’s been a month and Jamie still never called me back. I’m tired of the excuses! Terrible office manager! At this point, don’t bother. I’ve talked to someone else.nnAs a follow-up to my last posting, I did call Jamie and left a message several days ago to call me back. SHE NEVER DID! Don’t believe any of these postings where she says she’s concerned and to give her a call because when you do she still does not call you back. I asked another girl to send me a receipt for something and I received something different than what I requested and I’m still waiting for somebody to call me back on that so I can provide my pets insurance company with the proper documentation. This is the worst staff I think I’ve ever experienced at any veterinarian office.nnAgain if you do not like your job and you don’t like dealing with customers or animals I do not think you should be working there.nnAs far as the response you just left in this review, when I called the office they told me that you WERE in the office and wrote the message down to give to you personally. Perhaps you should’ve called when you were in the office instead of waiting until you were out of the office to respond to me. You certainly seem to find enough time to read these postings but not to return my call from when you were in the office! I am telling the truth here and I left you a message close to two weeks ago and you still have not returned my initial call. Then you post on here and tell me to call you so that’s a second message that I have left for a return call. You never called me from the first message that I left you two weeks ago.

They were wonderful and helpful. I was put at ease about issues with my cat. Thanks much to St. Francis Animal Hospital. jm

My dog is like my best friend so I expect nothing but the best. I usually don’t leave business reviews but I’m so disappointed at the way this place has treated me and my dog. Every time I’ve been here, I’ve been treated extremely terrible. I recently called to schedule a teeth cleaning for my dog. I was hung up on by Kristen because we haven’t been there in a year.. although my dog has been receiving care through another facility. When I immediately called back and said Hi we just spoke you hung up on me she proceeded with an extremely rude tone said I don’t know who you are. Thank you Kristen my dog and I will continue to seek care through another veterinarian. I truly urge others to highly consider before using this place even the vet was rude to my dog. Mind you I’m a very easy going person so this is out of character for me to leave this type of review.
