Gave one star only because I had to. Needed to take my dog to the ER vet on Thanksgiving night. Called this place before I left just to make sure they were open and they could see my dog. I was told they were open and to call when I got there with my dog so they could come out and get him. When I got there and called, I was told they weren’t taking any new patients because they had too many that were critical. Would have been really nice had that been relayed to me the first time I called. Could have saved me valuable time with my dog who was actively seizing.

I took my Hannah in tonight after she developed complications from her lymphoma. Her breathing turned shallow and I rushed her in. MedVet was so kind and attentive to Hannah and I know they gave her the best care, even though I couldn't go in with her until I made the hard decision to let her go. Dr. Wells was so kind and compassionate and I know she cared for Hannah with love. I can't thank her enough for helping my baby cross the rainbow bridge comfortably. I'd recommend MedVet to anyone with a pet emergency.

The worst vet around. I rushed my dog there at 5 in the morning, only to find the doors locked, I pounded on the doors, nothing. I was holding my dog who was having heart problems and not breathing. Ran to my car, called them, a woman answers, I frantically tell her I am out front and need help ASAP. She comes out as slowly as possible with another kid. Took my dog and made me wait outside, my dog had gone the bathroom on me and I asked if I could use the restroom to wipe it off my arms, the kid so no, you need to go outside. There was no one in the building, I had stuff all over me, I could see the bathroom, I was crying and he showed absolutely no compassion or concern for me at all. While I waited nervously outside for word on my dog, the vet came out and told asked me if I wanted them to perform CPR. I told her to do everything possible and to stop coming out asking me what to do. This after 3 trips she made out to my car. Unfortunately, my pup did not survive. It got worse. They made me go in a side door, while there was still no one else in the bldg. I waited for them to bring my pup to me so I could hold her in the room they put me in. I sat with her for some time, then rang the button and they came in and took her to put her in a box for me to take her home. As soon as they took her, someone else came in asking me for a credit card to pay the bill, never said one word to me as I was sitting there crying, just asked for the card several times. Only after they were sure the bill was paid in full, they brought her back to me. The kid (same kid that asked for the cc), came in the room, put the box on the ground, set the blanket that I had her in when I arrived, now in a garbage bag, next to the box. Handed me her paw print, and walked out of the room. Never saying ONE word. I was by myself, so I had all this to carry, plus my cell and car keys and open the door to get to the parking lot. Needless to say, I dropped my cell a few times as well as my keys, finally made it to my car, put my pup in the front seat in her box and headed home, crying my eyes out the entire time from when I arrived at that vet until I got home. I mean have a little compassion, offer to help me to the car, offer to hold the door so I could get out of the bldg, offer something other then rudeness. Never again with I go there, or recommend to anyone. Every chance I get, I tell everyone I can, NOT TO GO HERE.

We rushed our senior dog here when she had tachycardia and was in distress. She passed away just a few minutes before we got to Medvet, but they rushed out and tried to save her for 15 minutes.nnThey were so kind to us and gave us a room to say goodbye for as long as we needed. Our sweet angel was wrapped in a soft blanket, and the room was warm and comforting. Our hearts will always be broken, but what they did for us was such a blessing.

Avoid this place at all costs!! When we rushed my dog here after her stroke, they neglected to inform us that they were on a 6 hour wait, because a doctor was not present at the location. After peppering them with calls for hours, the staff finally explained why my poor dog had not yet been seen. Instead of being there to comfort my dog, I had to leave her there alone for 6 hours until anyone would even see her. Then, when the doctor finally called us and we confirmed the treatment route we wanted to take, starting with administering certain medications - they didn't even give her the medications! When we called after picking her up to get clarity on when she last received her medications, the staff confirmed they hadn't even administered them yet.nI'm just grateful we were able to bring her back home before she passed away the next morning - I would have been even more of a mess if she passed in the care of these jerks.
