Absolutely wonderful place. My little buddy, Moo Moo had cancer in his left hind leg (tibia) and it needed to be amputated. Obviously this was a difficult decision to have to make to put my cat through this procedure but the friendly staff assured me and reassured me I was making the best decision for my cat. They were nice enough to call me to let me know how he was doing while in their care and did everything to ensure he had a successful and safe surgery and that he was as comfortable as possible afterwards and the night after when they suggested they keep him overnight to keep an eye on him.nnFrankie's Friends were very reasonable on my bill as well. Whereas other places I called to talk about amputation, they quoted a price I simply could not afford. Not wanting Moo Moo to be in any pain, they worked out a great price to help me and help Moo Moo as fast as possible. The staff at Frankie's Friends were wonderful and I will absolutely return should my kitties need medical attention and whatever else.nnBecause Frankie's Friends heavily rely on donations and charities to pay for procedures and feeding the kitties while in their care, i highly suggest supporting them one way or another. If not monetary, then perhaps with a big bag of food or litter, etc. They help us and our fur babies. We need to help them too. I donated a bag of cat food and once I make up for what I spent to get my cat taken care of, I plan to support Frankie's Friends more. Again, great, kind, reassuring, and very professional staff. I couldn't be more grateful for what they did for Moo Moo.
The staff at Frankies Friends does a great job saving and caring for so many cats and other animals.
For starters, I do not know how this place has so many good reviews or how it’s still standing. They say to call when you’re in the parking lot. I called them over a dozen times in the course of 15 minutes, with no answer. During the last call, a call from them (from the number I was calling) and said “it’s a little after 10, we’re just checking to see where you’re at” I proceeded to tell them how I’ve been calling them over a dozen times and I’m right outside the door. They tell me to put the crate inside the door. I didn’t have one (never had one when going in- just brought one to be picked up for all of my other familys fur babies) they got snotty and said I should have gotten an email confirmation with all of the directions. I did not. I made the call 2 months prior and did not receive any instructions via call or email. They ALSO moved locations in which again, I had to find out by myself because I called to make another neuter appointment for my newest fur baby- it notified me via prompt when they don’t answer when you call in.nNow, fast forward to the pick up. Picked him up COVERED in “his own pee” (looking at other reviews, I’m not sure I believe that) - all they did was use dry shampoo on top - didn’t try to actually clean him bc he’s not their pet, right?nWe stated he already had a rabies shot just 3 months prior to this appointment - they gave him another one. He had no cone (luckily we had kept one from a prior operation) no pain meds to go home, no antibiotics which brings me to what really threw me.nTHERE ARE NO SUTURES DURING THE WHOLE PROCESS. I’m bringing him home and I notice a lesion in which is open and bleeding. I manage to make do until the next morning. They do not use any sutures on the inside, or outside, or glue of any sort only because “we don’t feel the need to”. You have GOT to be kidding me. So, pay no attention that he sits on the wounded area, pees, poos, and had cat litter all up in the wound, but they won’t send antibiotics at the very least.nI called my normal vet and they said male neuters need to be stitched up in the inside AT THE VERY LEAST. After many confirming questions reworded to make sure we are understanding them/they are understanding us properly, they states “there were no sutures used on the inside, outside, or around during our procedures because we do not feel the need to. It will adhere (again- confirming adhere meaning heal itself - skin coming back together) to itself within the next 7days. So they cut up my baby, and didn’t even have the heart to close him up. Letting his wound get infected.nThey offered to glue it for me - if I left work (which I already took off the day before for this) and drive OVER an hour to get there. If I got off work and drove there, I still couldn’t make it in time because they wouldn’t wait.nThey are all super unprofessional, couldn’t answer my questions without putting me on hold after every question, couldn’t answer their phones, and I’m sure they all got their degrees from a 2 hour online course.nNo harm done if it’s not YOUR fur baby, right??? Not taking my newest fur baby there. I’d rather pay $120 to make sure this is getting done right than this heartless shotty work.nNot likely to ever recommend.nHuge thank you to my actual vet for fixing this mess for free.
Took a 4 yer old female to banfield because her abdomen was hard and she couldn't peenThey refused to treat. Told me to take her to emergency vet.emergency vet wanted $2000 to scan the cat etc. Desperate I took cat to frankie's. They cared for her the next day and removed a bowel obstructionnShe has been doing great ever sincenThey were very caring and professional. Reasonably priced .
