I'm new to Olympia, and I did extensive research into a new veterinarian for my dog. I wanted to love this place, I really did. But I kept having odd experiences. When I first arrived to my appointment, I waited 35 minutes in the parking lot. I didn't think much of it, because I understand how busy they must be, particularly during a pandemic. Then, I was asked to fill out a paper form for my dog, including her previous vet info; I already completed it online, but no worries, I'll do it again. Then, when I went to pay at the front desk, they asked me again if she had any past vet records. Again, I smiled and informed them of her past vet. When I received a phone call asking for the fourth time about her previous vet records, I started to feel insecure about their organization and communication skills.nnBut here is the main reason I will not be returning back to this vet. I had taken my dog in for an exam and inquired about some symptoms I had observed. They ran a couple blood test and provided a prescription for her. However, a week later I came home from work and my dog was a completely different dog. She couldn't walk, wasn't eating, had blood in her stool, and respiratory issues. I frantically call the vet and speak to the receptionist. I tell her that I am worried about my dog and she is presenting with concerning symptoms. The receptionists tells me she will have the vet call me. So I wait... and I wait.. and I wait. I start to panic and wonder if the vet will ever call back. I decide to call the emergency vet and explain what was going on. The emergency vet instructed me to come to their hospital immediately. Turns out, my dog needed emergency surgery. I felt guilty for not bringing her in earlier, but I have never owned a dog before and was not sure how emergent her symptoms were (which is why I called healthy pet animal hospital for guidance).nnThe vet from healthy pets animal hospital calls me the next evening and asks about my dog. I was so devastated that she waited a whole day to call me back. I was in such emotional distress and needed guidance for how to help my dog and expected to hear back much sooner. At the very least, be told to go to the ER when I first called. It was just really sad. I didn't feel supported in any way.nnAnyway, my dog made it through surgery and is healing! I contemplated leaving a review here, but I think it is important to communicate where this business could do better. Listen to your customers. Communicate accurately. Be compassionate.

Great prices and helpful. I have a short haired dog that of course has allergies and sensitive skin. She's got a cross eye which seems to make her very ditsy. I needed to get her on a different flea treatment and on allergy pills. I asked if i could get them cheaper somewhere else. She wrote down the website and the medication information. she also gave me a detailed instruction on how to administer her ear drops and pills and included a list of trainers they recommend.

Healthy Pets employs some of the nicest people EVER! They are very kind to me and very savvy with cats. They were able to quickly see my calico that had an abscess on her foot. I am so appreciative of that because I was so worried. Healthy Pets is also less expensive than another clinic that sees only cats in Olympia. Therefore I switched both cats over to Healthy Pets. One cat has a chronic condition and even the smallest price break will help. Thank you Healthy Pets!!!

I've been bringing my pets here for years. Some of the care and follow-up has been really excellent. I'm afraid to say that recently it has gotten very poor. I've left several messages during business hours requesting a call back to set an appointment for a sick cat. Crickets, again and again. We've also had only spotty return calls from vets after visits when we have questions or are awaiting results. And on a recent visit, one vet threw up her hands and told us what we already knew, that our dog only had 1 good leg. No curiosity about further palliative treatment options, no willingness to dig further about possible ways to make her more comfortable. No return call after leaving a message.

I love Healthy Pets Animal Hospital! The staff regularly goes above and beyond to provide the best care for my extremely anxious pup. I'm a first-time pet parent and they are always so kind to answer all of my noob questions. Plus, good location and great prices! Can't ask for much more!
