I have been taking my dogs to this clinic for 6 years and have been very happy with the medical expertise and the treatment. This morning I called to make an appointment to get a rabies vaccination for one dog, and I was told that beginning this week their policy is that you 'drop your dog off for a general time to be seen.' I live two and a half hours away from this clinic and have to drive over a mountain pass (always unpredictable in winter) to get there. That's a 5 hr (in good weather) rd trip. Now they're telling me I have to drop the dog off between 10 and 12, so that it can be seen and be vaccinated by 2 which leaves me waiting I'm not sure for what reason. I don't know what changed this week, but sadly I'm going to another Vet. This is ridiculous.
Vet won't return calls, office won't answer questions without throwing tantrums. They play favorites which is great until they don't like you. What is this high school, very very unprofessional!!?
My dogs weigh 130 and 140 lbs, the largest tick pill they have is for 120 lbs,The price for the 120 lb pill is $73. I was quoted a price to add a smaller pill for both dogs would be about $40 more( not for each,but both together) but the price ended up being $140 more for both. They charge $70 for the smaller pill.so for tick treatment for a 120 lb dog is $73 and for a 10 lb dog it's $70. And for a 130 lb dog it's $143!!!

I have gone to the Chewelah veterinary for the past 11 years. They not only care a great deal about the animals but they take very Good care of the owners as well
