Banfield Pet Hospital

Our elderly boxer was ill. Our usual Banfield could not get her in for over a week. I called and this location squeezed her in and seemed to genuinely care about our old gal. They talked through the diagnosis and other sensitive information and we felt informed in order to provide the best course of treatment. I am so thankful they worked to see her!

Up until this last visit I had been pretty happy with this Banfield. However, on 9/12 my dog broke her leg and we needed to make an emergency visit. The attending vet said my dog needed surgery and referred me to our local orthopedist who we went to directly after. Unfortunately when I arrived at the specialist I was told the vet at Banfield only took 1 x-ray of the leg and 2 views would be needed to make any diagnosis. The specialist had to then retake the x-ray and we were charged again I was charged nearly $300 at Banfield for a single x-ray that ended up being useless because the vet did not do his due diligence by taking 2 views. I am a former veterinary technician and current registered nurse. I have never heard of someone only taking 1 x-ray. When the vet called the next day to check up on our dog I asked why this was. He said he did not want to hurt her by holding her down. So instead, my dog had to endure hours of waiting and went through being restrained all over again at the specialist because of this vets altruism. What I think really happened is he wanted to go home and instead of doing a thorough job, he did the bare minimum to get rid of us since it was a Saturday afternoon. He didn't even give my dog pain medication! I am extremely disappointed with the lack of care I received and unless this is corrected I will not be returning to Banfield in the future.

Dr. Wendt and the rest of the staff are fantastic. They have taken good care of my super senior kitty every time I bring him in. Dr Wendt is always very blunt and gives tons of information. My old man's health is going down hill but everyone has been so kind and understanding. As long as I'm in the area, I plan to take all my pets to them.

I've been going here for almost 5 years and have always had positive experiences. They always take good care of my dog and explain what they plan to do and what they did.
