Last week, my dog Trouble was in pain. He was 14 years old with extreme mobility issues and was struggling to pull himself up to eat/drink/bathroom use. I didn't know what to do. I called Polo Springs at first and set up an appointment, originally in no rush. An hour later, Trouble was struggling even more and decided to call back to see if I could be seen that day.nnI was granted an appointment on Wednesday Oct 28, with all the horrors of being that may be the last time driving to the vet's office with my best companion on the back seat. It definitely didn't make it any easier when sadly, Dr. Lisa said that would be best for Trouble.nnWe cried a lot, I had second thoughts - my husband and I weren't pushed one way or the other, it was our decision and we were given plenty of time to discuss/evaluate. My dog was in deep misery. What kind of life do you give your dog if he can't walk anymore? Sure, I could've probably medicated him, but he was sleeping 18+ hours and when he was awake, he was just laying there - it wasn't a life for my once perky pup.nnWe made the decision and it was all for the very best. Dr. Lisa was more than a doctor that day, she became family, she became a therapist (I was nothing short of an emotional wreck) she became a fellow dog owner, who understood exactly what thoughts of regret we would have and to help us see the overall benefit we were giving Trouble. That feeling of no longer in pain, no longer medicated. He was free.nnYesterday, my husband picked up Trouble from the vet. He's finally home. He's a bit quieter now, than he's ever been, but he's finally with us and we can cherish the box forever. He was our dog, our person (he believed he was human) and our best friend.nnThank you so much Polo Springs staff, doctors, and especially Dr. Lisa for helping us give Trouble the best care he has ever had as well as the best aftercare for his next journey whatever that may be. :)

Very welcoming, informative, patient and compassionate staff, we really liked this clinic. And our cat liked them so much he ran back to the clinic right after coming home from the appointment just to visit them and they were sweet enough to call us.

Excellent service. I took my pet in for an annual check-up. Everyone was very professional, friendly, and compassionate. I’d highly recommend!

$250 for an exam, fecal and parasite meds. We now go to Claremont Ranch where the same service is $30-$50.

Our 14.5 year old dog Buddy has recently started having serious health problems. We’ve spent more time at Polo Springs in the last week than any other vet office his entire life combined. No matter how it turns out, Dr. McIntosh and Dr. Gerleman have been nothing short of amazing. Truly appreciate the care they are giving to our old man.
