Vet and staff are all super friendly. Appointment was quick and very helpful. I took my dog in for a heart murmur and the vet explained everything in detail and left me with paperwork to explain about the condition.

We recently found out our dog Peewee has congestive heart failure, with a 6/6 heart murmur. We were directed to Pulse Veterinary Cardiology due to him having complications breathing. Immediately upon arriving they so kindly greeted us and explained what they were going to do. He needed to be put in a an oxygen chamber and have x-rays taken to see why he was having troubles breathing. We knew this wasn't going to be cheap, which we were right. The staff was so helpful, they tried to get the lowest price possible, but still be able to help Peewee. They even went a step further and suggested this study he is currently participating in for the next 3 months. This will help pay for some of the stuff he will need during the study. Dr. Geri Lake-Bakaar sat down with us and explained he had fluid on his lungs, which was making it hard for him to breathe. A month and a half later he is doing well, he is back to his peppy self. We can't be thankful enough to have our baby boy back at home. He is currently taking a diuretic to keep fluid off his lungs, a heart medicine to help with blood flow and a heart healthy food. Thanks again to the kindhearted staff.

Fabulous, caring, on the mark diagnosis, Another vet had prescribed heart medicine for her---diagnosis off the mark--Dr. Loyer redid the tests and found it was too soon for her to be on meds. Saved me the struggle to get pills down and good news for Katie.nnThank you, Dr. Loyer. (BTW I don't have a cardiologist but my dog does:=).nnPosted September 15, 2020. His clinic is now Choice Veterinary in Wheatridge in 124th just off I 25.

We were shocked to find out that our seemingly healthy and energetic 3 yr old dog had a very serious heart condition - pulmonic stenosis - and the prognosis without surgical intervention was quite poor. Although we are in Colorado Springs, we were referred to RMVC in Denver and saw Dr. Hanes. His care for his animal patients is obvious. He's upbeat and very willing to explain everything clearly and patiently. Nearly a year later, our pup just had the balloon valvuloplasty procedure at the Alpenglow Vet Ctr in Boulder and we are relieved that now she is expected to have a normal lifespan. We can't thank Dr. Hanes enough and are so grateful for his knowledge, skills and compassion. We wholeheartedly recommend him, RMVC and Alpenglow.
