CityVet - Capitol Hill

Bear and I are so glad we moved to this neighborhood and sniffed out City Vet. She is entering her senior years and in the last 3, City Vet has gotten us through 2 ACL tears and a LOT of other little things too.nnBear today is in excellent health, especially for a beagle at 9. Her back legs are super strong, she’s full of energy, and just happy - like a dog should be. The doctors at this practice are excellent. And they know and work with equally good surgeons when that’s the best option for your pet.nnSimply put, the quality of care at City Vet is at a standard I now know to look for - and make sure I find for my girl no matter where we go.They are doing very good work.nnAnd, somehow, it’s also affordable, the administration of the office is done very well and the Techs are equally impressive.nnP.S. Thank you to the City Vet Techs and front desk attendants: When out in the mountains this last summer, Bear ate something dangerous on the camp site. The City Vet Tech working the front desk helped me figure out where to go (it was 6am on a Sunday morning). The best and closest option was still 3 hours ago, but we got there in time and the team at that place saved Bear’s life. I still have no idea why that gal was working so early in the morning. I bet she was popping-in for something and decided to answer the phone in case it was urgent. It was. Thank you City Vet ♥ufe0f

City Vet is always welcoming, knowledgable, and on top of their game when it comes to pet care! They're also really efficient with their covid procedures. We had dental cleanings done on both of our 5 year old cats by Dr. Dickens and Dr. Mercuri, which I was super nervous about, but both doctors did a wonderful job keeping me informed throughout about the status of each cat and called to get the ok if they needed extractions (they didn't!) or other procedures while they were under anesthesia. Both my cats now have clean and healthy mouths, and they always leave smelling really good which is a nice bonus! 100% recommend City Vet to everyone!

The vet tech and the vet were so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! I'm a first-time pet owner so I had a lot of questions, and they happily answered all of them thoroughly. They took every necessary precaution in light of COVID-19. They were also very understanding about my skittish cat who hid under a desk in the clinic. Overall, highly recommended!

New to Denver and needed to find a veterinarian for a new puppy. Making an appointment at CityVet was super easy, the girl over the phone was very energetic and helpful and it only took a few minutes even as a new patient. Was able to schedule a checkup for that week, and the doctor was very informative. My favorite thing about this place though, is the fact they care more about your pets than they do nit picking at things for money.nnJust a couple days after our first appointment our pup had a problem with his front paw and they were able to get him in the next day. We dropped him off for 2-3 hours and the doctor called to let me know he seemed fine and didn’t charge me a cent for checking him. Expecting to pay around the same amount I did for a basic checkup this was a very nice surprise. Considering I’m a college student who doesn’t have tons of money to spend on vet care but also cares about the health of her pets, this place is exceptional and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Dr Dickens is the reason we come to this vet. We wouldn't go anywhere else. He's amazing to our babies as is the rest of the staff. Thanks so much for all you do CityVet!
