Dr. Ortega is amazing! Such a smart lady, and she knew exactly what was needed for my dog’s irritable bowel syndrome. Thorough visit, and I did not feel rushed at all. She sat with me for close to an hour just talking and explaining the science behind hydrolyzed protein and how the body absorbs protein etc. It’s nice when a vet doesn’t just tell you what the problem is, and what to do for it, but explains in detail everything (the why and the how). I drive 2 hours just to see her for my dog, as other vets were not as experienced in this area.
Even considering Kobe beef and their customer service to be a bit lacking. Came to pick up my pet which I was told was available and felt it but I was ignored by the technician that was outside and then it's taken over 15 minutes for the pet to simply be brought out. Other businesses are doing much better. So if you have a choice might want to look for a friendlier place.
I've had to take my pup to the ER here twice over the last few months and both times I've been impressed.nnThe knowledge and skill of the attending veterinarians is 5/5. I say this as a fellow veterinarian - they know what they're doing. Dr. Scott quickly stabilized my dog prior to his emergency surgery and was able to consult with an oncologist to best plan his treatment. Dr. Campbell performed his surgery quickly with no complications and gave a detailed report on the procedure both verbally and in writing. The previous visit Dr. Rhodes was able to remove a difficult foreign object from his stomach without having to take him to surgery which I was very grateful for.nnThe nursing staff are also very in tune with their patients. Claire gave wonderful detailed updates on his stay.nnThanks Horizon team, Titan is almost back to 100% his normal activities and has been enjoying steak, toys and taco bell while he awaits his chemo treatments next week. I know I won't get long with him due to the nature of his condition but I am so grateful I get to have the extra time you've given him.
This place is absolutely amazing. My kitten was very sick and I didn't know what else to do. I brought her to this place and they were VERY busy with lots of people and having to adjust with COVID guidelines.nEvery single person I interacted with on the phone was incredibly kind and patient with me. When I was on hold, they would check in and say 'I didn't forget you! I'll be right there'. The vet was very kind as well.nAll in all, an amazing experience through a scary and difficult time. Well done!!
Horizon Veterinarian is a nightmare and can cost you thousands! . Not only are they terrible at helping animals but they also don't greedy. She explains how the reason prices are expensive is because it's surgeries need to be by a vet specialist and the vet specialist charges more money.nLater I find out that they are all veterinary specialist and they change shifts and they (all four doctors) are all part owners of the hospital. .My dog got the surgery and he died during the process, I took my dogs body to another veterinarian and he told me that the surgery was completely unethical and dangerous. My dog died and they got me for $7000! They also called me after my dog was dead and asked me if I wanted my dogs ashes for an additional $300! Stay away from Horizon!nnBut unlike ACCESS they don't try to take advantage of your dog's condition and milk you for money like ACCESS. If you care about your dog please take them elsewhere.
