Jamie is the best! She has been our Veterinarian from 1994-1995, she has saved and helped many of our animals. I was traveling through Porterville last week and had a mare that had a bad bout of colic (impaction) and left 4 messages on this emergency line with NO call back at all. I was really disheartened and frankly, unimpressed. Even if you have another, higher priority emergency at the very least return the call someone left and tell them that you cannot help!! Don't just leave them hanging! I called over the course of an hour, every 15 minutes just like Dr. Wilson's voicemail requested. Very unprofessional. Maybe they should change their emergency voicemail if they don't intend to call people back. Luckily I found a fantastic vet in Exeter (Pacific Crest Equine) who took great care of my mare and gladly welcomed us at 1am.....
