They saw my sick dog quickly and determined he needed abdominal surgery. Since the doctors have some surgical specialties, they waited for the best surgeon who’s shift started in the evening but in the meantime, started an IV to rehydrate my dog and administer pain meds. The staff contacted me when my dog was being prepped and the surgeon called when the operation was over to update me. I was called first thing the next morning with another update and then again before picking up my dog. Since they are an emergency hospital, their prices are higher than a regular vet but the quality and communication are invaluable. I am exceedingly pleased with my experience.
Both doctors and their staff were very good to Scout and very thorough with us. They had fantastic follow-up, even in the middle of the night. It appears that they really enjoy what they do. Highly recommended for emergencies!
Brought one of our dogs for a post surgery follow up. Our normal vet was not available and we wanted her looked at ASAP. They got her in quickly and determined everything was fine. I appreciated how well they took care of her and their explanation of how she was healing. Always my go to place if my usual vet or an emergency need arises.
The staff were very friendly. As most vets are only doing curb side pick up and calling to discuss the situation with the owner over the phone due to Covid-19 protocol; I have to say, the staff at Central Coast Emergency Animal Hospital truly listened and thoroughly discussed everything with you. At no time did they seem to try and rush you off. They provide you the cost of your options for treatment and allowed you to decide what steps to take. For instance, my puppy (BATMAN!) was experiencing diarrhea for several days and since he loves to chew on wood I was worried that he may have gotten some lodged. I was given the option of x-rays and blood work. I requested to just do x-rays to rule out any blockage. They did not use any pressure tactics for running other test or blood work as I had previous veterinarian do. The x-rays were clear of any obstruction and he was sent home with some medication and is doing great. I would like to thank the staff for the great experience and would recommend them to anyone who loves their pets and requires emergency services.
This is the second time I have needed a vet in an emergency and this clinic has come through for me. People are always pleasant and professional. Only down side is how long it takes to be seen. I understand triage but it would be nice to have a system where you don’t lose the whole day for a few stitches.
