Our family cannot thank you enough for seeing to it hat my son's cremains is well taken cared of. Father Mike's recommendation is superb and we will also highly recommend Alta Vista if the need comes to anyone. Marcy you are a very nice person and your younger brother Eric is too. Our family deeply appreciate when Eric went all the way to our house to deliver our son's cremains and you went all the way to San Francisco to deliver my son's Urn just in time for the Memorial service. If I could give negative 10, I would. My son died two weeks ago, and I live in Wisconsin. We contacted this facility to have him cremated and his remains mailed to me. The paperwork and payment were completed online. After he was cremated, I called to find out when his remains would be sent to me. I was promised my son would be sent out first thing the next day which was Wednesday; they did not do it. They let him sit there and didn’t bother get his remains to to post office until 12 minutes before closing on Thursday. If they had an unavoidable delay, all they had to do was call me to let me know. What is NOT OKAY is the fact that I received NO phone call, no email, NOTHING to let me know when my son's remains were sent out, nor DID I RECEIVE ANY EMAIL CONCERNING THE TRACKING NUMBER. By Saturday, I was frantic as no one seemed to know where my son's remains were. When I called to find out what was going on, I received the answering service which told me no one would be in the office until Monday. I demanded to speak with the director who proceeded to tell me he didn't work on weekends, now he would have to drive 45 minutes to get the tracking number, etc. I was also told point-blank that once they dropped the remains off at the post office, they were done and they did not send any email regarding a tracking number unless specifically requested by the family...REALLY??? All of this could have been avoided had his company sent an email to us letting us know the tracking number....anyone who does business with this organization does so at their own emotional peril.”nnCindy H.nJul 11, 2020nFuneral

My father was terminally ill, and he had requested me to assist in searching a credible and affordable cremation service. Of the 5 I called, Alta Vista stood out as their customer service was very helpful and broke down the pricing of their cremation services. At the time of my father's passing at the hospital, I gave the nurse Alta Vista's number, and the hospital made all the arrangements which gave us the time to mourn our loss. Eric arrived promptly and picked up my father. After a few days, we visited the facility and worked with a kind and compassionate woman named Marcy who was very transparent with the pricing. We felt like we were in good hands. We also had some very special requests for my father's cremation service, and Eric was able to address all of our unique needs.I felt like they went out of their way to provide us superior customer service during this difficult time.

My husband passed away while traveling through CA. Since I am located in KS I was lost on the procedure to get him home. I called around to a few funeral and cremation services; as soon as I began speaking with Alta Vista I knew this was the one for our family. Not only were they the most competitive in price they were helpful, patient and kind in every need and guided me with things I did not understand.
