I tried to purchase a plan online after having difficulty with getting an appointment in the office. The online service is deceptive. I couldn’t back out of the order. There was not a cart, a review of the order or complete order button. I didn’t sign the contract with an e-signature and I was charged $99 twice for one plan with payments. I was then not able to login to the account. I am single and I don’t plan on dying twice and I was charged for two payment plans for myself.nnI called Neptune and was able to get an appointment and I was told my card would be credited back the two $99 charges. I decided not to buy the plan on payments and I paid in full at the appointment within a week of my online inquiry. I was told at the appointment the two $99 charges or $198 could not be credited to me on the contract, but My VISA would be credited in a couple of days as it was February 28th end of month closing. I called after a couple of days when I did not receive the credit. I was given the run around! I contacted Bank of America and filed a dispute. Neptune told the bank that I owe the money. This occurred on March 30th- too late by two days to cancel the contract that I paid in full. I have no proof or receipt for the two $99 charges online since the online account states two incomplete orders. My bank account shows the charges!! I did receive an email from Neptune about cancelling the online contract(s) if I met with a representative. I did meet with representative within a week and cancelled the contract and double contracts for a payment plan and paid in full instead.nWhy can’t I receive a refund? I am filing a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs: Cemetery and Funeral Bureau and the federal agency.

In a time of tragedy and loss our family could not have been more blessed to find the services of Erica, and Neptune Society of Northern California. If genuine compassion and transparency are things that you think you may value in trying times, then I urge you to contact Erica and Neptune Society. Through the entire process Erica was truly invested in assisting us to the best of her abilities, even if that meant that we decided to have services performed elsewhere. Ultimately beyond cost(which compared to competitors in the area was more than fair), we are just incredibly grateful for the peace of mind that comes with knowing our loved one received the same compassionate care that we did. Thank you so very much Erica and Margaret.

Margaret and the Neptune Society were extremely caring, senstive and professional during the difficult loss of my Mom. She was genuine and respectful and assisted our family greatly. It was so reassuring to have my Mom being taken care of in the most loving way possible.
