Lake Merritt Station

I use this station to get around a lot and I really like the skylight that they have to give the whole place a natural light. The station is really straight forward and it's one of the few ones that doesn't smell bad. Sadly this station doesn't have a restroom available, but they do have a customer service area to help out with all kinds of needs. The employees I've interacted with here are all really nice and I hardly see homeless people at this station.nnIt's also right across the street from Laney College, a couple blocks from the Oakland Museum of California and a few blocks from Lake Merritt. It also has a park and Buddhist temple a block away. It's a convenient stop with a lot to offer and it's the one I use the most when I want to go somewhere.

Never had any issues

It's a generally clean station with working ticket stations. I didn't have to interact with the staff because I really didn't need their help with anything. Even when I come back to this station late at night, the outside is well-lit and there's plenty of lime or bird scooters around to take you wherever.

Good convenient location to go to Chinatown from the BART system. It is a good walk towards center of Chinatown. Convenient location to go to Alameda County government offices.
