Highly recommend this place. Excellent kind and caring staff. The vets are very thorough and always seem excited to see my pup. My boy has received great care and they always get me in when needed. My boy had a weird lump one day that I was concerned about. They managed to get me in that same day.

No one had masks on and THEY CALLED THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION IN to be filled and also refused to give me the paper prescription. Good thing I asked 3 times for the prescription and all they gave me was a tiny sticky note with the name of the prescription because if I didn't pay close attention, MY DOG'S CONDITION WOULD'VE GOTTEN WORSE BECAUSE OF THE CARELESSNESS OF RECEPTION!!!! They also never called in the prescription in the first place. I was the one who had to call the vet to ask them AGAIN to fill her prescription 4 days later.......nnThe ONLY reason for 2 stars is the doctor himself was so good, but that's it.

Skyline Animal hospital has always taken good care of my doggos and we have a lot of them. They're responsive and help get my animals asap in emergencies and they've always been very personable and help to explain what might be wrong with my dogs so I understand and can give them the best care possible. Thank you for taking care of our doggos!

The Dr was straight forward. Emergency surgery was essential. Sorry to all the other appointments thet were delayed or rescheduled on our behalf. Very thankful for the effort. Our dog is recovering now at home. Appreciate the caring staff and Dr Petersen.

We had been bringing our cats to Skyline Animal Hospital (SAH) for ages until I moved to Oregon for about 10 years. After moving back to Idaho, we resumed care with my previous cat (who lived to be around 16 years old) before she had to be put down. I had no plans for another pet, but when my kids found a tiny, abandoned kitten, we returned to SAH as clients while Dr. Parnell was working here. She was my favorite vet because she was a cat lover who covered all the bases for our new kitty. Dr. Parnell even worked us in at the last minute to spay our cat when the actions of another clinic raised red flags that ultimately led us to cancel her surgery with them.nnUnfortunately, Dr. Parnell left SAH shortly after our return. Since her departure, I just don't feel like we've gotten quite the same level of service that we used to get from her. Whereas Dr. Parnell was always great about weighing, deworming, and thoroughly checking everything, I now feel like the cat just gets a quick and dismissive once-over before being sent out the door. The vet today didn’t even bother doing a deworming, even though the cat has had past issues with roundworms and tapeworms.nnFrankly, as any cat owner knows, hauling a feline to the vet is usually a traumatic experience for all involved. As my cat has feline herpes and stress inevitably leads to double eye infections, if we’re going to undergo the trauma of driving across town for this, then I want to know that my pet is receiving a thorough exam and that I’m getting my money’s-worth. But today’s visit brought no such satisfaction. And after being charged more than anticipated for a very brief and cursory exam, I’m starting to fear I’m getting gouged.nnFor these reasons, I’m not sure if I’m going to continue with Skyline Animal Hospital anymore. If Dr. Parnell still worked here, it probably wouldn’t even be an issue. But the current crop of vets (who seem to prefer dogs over cats) just don’t seem to be providing us with the same level of care or service anymore. So I’m definitely going to have to shop around and make some tough decisions before next autumn.nn*Follow Up: My thanks to Dr. Petersen for his reply and effort to make things right. His responsiveness and willingness to consider improvements down the road are much appreciated. Thank you.nn*2020 Update: We ended up going back just because we're familiar with the clinic and they kindly worked us in at the last minute today. This time, we saw Dr. Petersen and I found him very friendly and thorough. He also took time to explain things thoroughly. The cost is still always going to be an issue for us as a lower-income family, and the news that the cat needs expensive dental treatment isn't great since we can't afford it. But, aside from those concerns, it was a much better visit than the one we had last time with a doctor whom I understand is no longer with SAH. I greatly appreciate the clinic working us in at the last minute, as well as the time Dr. Petersen spent with us.
